Does your art turn you on?

So I'm in the process of writing a tongue-fucking scene and as usual, I find myself getting wet and squirmy and jsut generally turned on. Going over and over the text and reviewing how each thing would feel, thinking of the smells and tastes and sounds (with the encouragement of my very best friend to inspire) have really got me in a state.

I love to watch a musician in this state, their face in an anstonishing arrange of grimaces, tongue sticking out, how they hum and move their whole body(i.e. during a solo) and pucntuate their musis with an almost unconcious body language/response.

Do you feel this when you create? Does it help or harm your work?

Can you feel this in another's art?

I do feel excited by some of my own sex scenes, including when writing them - but it's a two-edged sword. Sometimes they get out of hand. The novel needs a major rehaul due to that phenomena. One of that sex scenes is completely wrong in terms of what the character should reasonably be willing to do and have done to them, and another is simply gratuitous - wholly without a reason for existence, other than an overstimulated horse. Both of the scenes I find erotic in and of themselves, but the latter is superfluous and the former is actively ruining other elements of the story.

owwwwhhhh - some lovely work, Throbbs. I certainly feel that girl-martini picture in your profile.

*grin* At this point Shanglan, all of my work is gratuitious sex. It works for me. However, I can definitely see your point. I can detach sufficientlywhen editing. For the creating part - an emotional/physical reaction really helps when first "fleshing out" a particular scene.

My work keeps turning into satire, because so much of life seems absurd to me. But when I can stay serious, I get turned on more by the characters than the sex.

Mine doesn't. :(

Maybe it's because I've grown beyond tired of writing sex scenes, and don't write them anymore. I'll write the lead-in, but that's about it.

Thank you.
Aaahhhh that one. :) I actually posed two different models to create that one. They were clothed, but I imagined them otherwise.

So now you need the take Sex Scene 2 out of the current story and write another story around it, don't you? :cathappy:

ps. Over stimulated horse? *giggle*

Now me, my sex scenes didn't do anything for me until I wrote my last one. With that, I was...squirming. I have no idea what brought about the change but I'm thinking it's for the better.

Which one was that?

Linky, please, yes!

Okay, my sex scenes? I've only written one smut story so far and it was crappy. So, no, wasn't turned on at all.

Yes, I very much find my "art" arousing. Indeed, so little else does turn me on because it's indescribably boring and inane.

Damppantie's scene - the one that turned her on so.

I don't know if I get turned on, but I can definitely lose myself when I play an improvised solo on my trombone. I usually close my eyes and just go with it.

Hang on, let me drag her back in here.

I'm waiting for her linkage too.

I understand - I think a big factor in my writing is dissatisfaction with the "He rammed his thick 10 inch cock into her dripping pussy" kind of stories.

I write about what pleases me, what might or has pleased me before.

That's turned on in my books..

I'm incredibly sorry for you. It must be hard to be so...perfect.

"you're so fucking special...
I wish I was special..."

God I love that song. Creep by TLC (?)

Not intended as a comment, merely what came to mind.

I run mine through my mine a dozen of more times before they become words so when I start to write, it goes fast, most of the time.

I am wound pretty tight by the time I'm done.

My erotic art doesn't turn me on much. Other stuff... sometimes.
