Does the use of a sex toy inhibit your 'natural' response?

from my own "solo" experience, i prefer real flesh of my
fingers to something plastic, you see.

From a man and a fellow Gemini..I love to see them being used...but I can see the validity in your post...hope you get back to "normal" so to speak.

You might want to try reading up on it...........studies show no.....if the toy is the right one and properly used........if those parameters aren't met then in your case sure could

I think it all depends on the toy and how frequently you use it. In my case, I'm such a damn nympho that I was using them pretty much daily....and they inhibited my natural response without a doubt.

However, after giving them a break for a few days.....I was back to normal again. :)

what a toy will do is make a woman lazy.

During an actual sex act it takes work and time. I can get off with a toy in 2 minutes or so, with sex it takes longer.

Its more a matter of "sexual laziness"

Not only women, but men as well if they use toys on their women. 100% true in my case. I think he feels that if he gets me off with the toy, then all he has to do is his 3 minutes so he can get off as well and I'm satisfied.

Of course he knows this isn't true from the millions of times I've told him this, but is what happens nonetheless.

I would agree with the sexual laziness idea. Using a toy, I can reach orgasm very quickly....but it doesn't dull my natural responses when I'm having sex. There are so many things going on at once during sex that the whole experience leads to orgasm. My mind is full of thoughts of how he feels, what I'm doing to and with him. And all of my senses are in play. With a toy, there is only one thought on my mind, so it's quicker and takes less concentration, but I wouldn't say it has dulled my natural responses at all.

Hell, give me the soft whimpers and moans of a woman and nothing can inhibit my "natural" responses....

Now those are sounds I haven't heard in quite some time. Could be just what the doctor ordered. ;)

LoL....make sure the doctor prescribes a daily dose for ya and it'll keep all your natural responses flowing...

Oh, I have read the statistics but, it's much more informative to hear it from litsters... And, I guess some agree with you, some don't :)

Besides, I didn't know I was a 'case' :( :D

Hmmm, you have a point there... Maybe I'm confusing the two, lol

Seriously though, I have read that once you get used to a 'quickie' stimulation using a toy, you have a harder time to experience an orgasm in r/l intimacy - no matter how hot and ready you are...

Maybe it's best to combine them... - "This is BOB, meet {insert name} or vice versa" :p

Well........anytime you test something.........or put it out there for informational purposes....its a case study.........You know that being the educated woman you are..:)

Yes some agree and some dont......thats the beauty of a case study..........the end results are what counts though

Speaking of personal experience, eh?! ;)

My .02 worth

First, I think some people read too damn much and then base there whole life on what Jimmy and Jane tell them is right or not, that said....

I feel it depends on how one looks at sex and what they do at that moment for release. Men and women and I am guessing here ( and I really don't care what the books say since this is just my opinion ) will use their hands when they first really start learning about their own sexual needs and wants. Men I think for the most part will stay with using their hands for the rest of their life when they have no one to share it with while females will soon begin to experiment with items that can be inserted such as a hairbrush, bed post, veggies and so on, and many will end up obtaining dildos and vibrators. In other words, ya do what ya gotta do to get off and that really is the bottom line.

Does it take away from ones natural response? Sure, if you allow it too. Raw feelings can't be denied, but isn't really good sex largly a mental thing? Be it a hand, fingers or a toy, it's going to feel like what you want it too. I guess it's possible to "fall in lust" with a toy to such a point that you lose touch with what is real but if that happens, hell your kinda fucked up to begin with.

I've not used a toy on myself but I have with the partners I've been with. Not everyone is the same and that's what makes each person special. Sometimes a "fast" session was all that was wanted while other times a slow evening of fun, but these days I like a relaxed session without worrying about time so if it turns into 3, 5 or even 8 hours of pleasure then so be it, and the use of toys makes it better.
To make a women so aroused that she orgasms upon the slightest touch, and not just a small ripple, I mean a toe curling tummy crunching get to the store to get a new mattress kind of climax over and over, and if I use toys to help get her to this point then so what? Let's be honest guys, you can talk shit all you want but unless you have a penil implant to keep yourself hard, you're going to cum too damn fast in most cases to help her become sexually aroused to where she will cum with you, but if we use our fingers, tongue and toys to get her there beforhand, once we are inside her there is a good chance you will, and I don't see a damn thing wrong with that.
Some of these new toys feel like the real deal and a few can even feel warm. I've used smaller vibes, and others twice as big as I am, but once I slide in, that look on her face, the way her body shudder, the sound that escapes her lips and she engulfs me and feels the living flesh, at that moment you know that the toy is just that, something to be played with and enjoyed but it will never replace the real deal.

Awesome response, woodmiester - very eloquently put!
