The fact that Americans are currently debating whether women have the same rights to prescription coverage as their male counterparts in this day and age, makes me, as an American, feel foolish. I think it really separates the true small government people from the "I dont like liberals" people, when they cant even muster outrage that the government is telling me and my doctor I have to have unnecessary medical procedures, oh and I have to shell out the extra money for these procedures too.

Straw Man Argument - He ignores Perg's actual stated position in favor of making one up for him and attacking it. Perg then clarified his position (graciously, as it was perfectly clear to begin with) and asked him not to repeat the Straw Man but it didn't help.

What upsets me the most, is the lack of female voice on this issue. Panels are debating it in congress, and they dont have so much as 1 female among them. I dont except men to know off hand the varied and numerous health benefits that the pill provides, but it does much more then prevent conception.

[shrug] You ladies have had the vote since 1920; using it effectively is all up to you. (Getting women involved in the RCC's councils on this issue, that's a very different problem.)
