Disney has extended company health benefits to live-in partners of homosexual employees (the policy does not cover unmarried heterosexual couples who live together). -The Orlando Sentinel, 10/7/95; USA Today, 10/19/95; Daily Variety, 10/9/95

Yes, they do.

As a Liberal I join you in the belief that Disney should extend benefits to the unmarried heterosexual couples as well as the homosexual couples.

I think they should just extend benefits to everyone in America.

They spent so much time making us believe in the comfort and safety of Mickey's loving embrace!

And bambi...

Oh the love, the love...

Do you think maybe.....

...that has something to do with homosexual marriages not being recognized in this country? I'm sure that if homosexual couples were able to marry, you would find that Disney would extend benefits only to spouses, not live-ins, homosexual or heterosexual alike....

I disagree.

Homosexual couples should only receive benefits until they are able to marry. Heterosexual couples will have to get over the injustice of it all until then.

Shack up?

I haven't heard that term since the last time my grandmother went on one of her tirades about her other "worthless" grandchildren. (I'm not included, I'm the innocent good one)

it has everything to do with homosexual marriages not being recognized legally ... it would be far simplerly if they were recognized but until that happens disney are doing the right thing
