Does caring ALWAYS have to hurt?

depends on the person you care for...they may opt to make it difficult...test your resolve

and that sucks!

but everything that is beautiful is temporary...thats what makes it so precious and alive...don't skim the shallow water...dive in deep, this moment is all you have...

So true, but the pain lasts so long!!!

it's never the caring that hurts...just the disappointment it can bring

gives Spicecake a warm lingering hug...humming softly to her...stroking her hair....

it does, but the pain helps you to appreciate it when someone cares for you just as much as you care for them.

"Thank you!" she whispers. :rose:

I think caring is the mark of a truely special person, and yes it can hurt, especially if the feeling is not reciprocated. You can choose to hold on to it and make the pain linger, or you can let go, move on and know that you are a better person for caring.
