Lit lets you attach files, but not .mp3 as far as I can remember. You can put any file in a .zip archive and upload it though. If you're using Windows get Winzip http://download.com.com/3405-20-871449.html?part=50220&subj=dlfpp&tag=button , Linux pkzip I think, MacOS get StuffIt Standard Evaluation version and use DropZip http://www.stuffit.com/stuffit/lite/index.html

Then you can attach the zipped file <100kB to your post.

To convert a .wav to an .mp3 on Windows I use CDex http://www.cdex.n3.net/ which is free software for ripping CDs but has a wav2mp3 converter built in. Choose a bit rate in the options/encoder menu - 128kbps is near CD quality, 64kbps is ok for simple sound, and set the filenames too so you know where to find the files it makes. Then click on the wav2mp3 button and it'll do it's work. The advantage is that mp3 is about 1/10th the size of wav, so you can have sound 10 times as long.

Yahoo doesn't do that, cuz they're a blah! But! Do what Claude wrote, it's not hard. Just record your song, save it as whatever, and then add it to winzip. So if your song is called "Acitore.mp3"...add that to Winzip which will make it to "Acitore.zip" and then just attach that to Lit. Now sing, and it better good or else I'm lighting a fire!
