Does anyone know why "Top Lists" are missing stories?

I was wondering if anyone knows why my Wolverine stories no longer appear on the Top Lists. They have good ratings but not as many votes as others. But they don't appear at all where the rating would place them. Does anyone understand that?

Probably because you don't have enough votes to qualify under the site's new setup. There have been complaints about this on another thread.

There also is a discrepancy between the scores and votes on your members View Submissions page and the Top Lists. On the 12 month Top List I have a chapter that currently has a 4.72 with 43 votes, but my member page states 4.70 with 40 votes and the alphabetical listing also states 4.70 (believe me, I'm happy either way!) I've had bigger gaps since the new set up came to be. The View Submissions page seems to change much more slower and my numbers there rarely match up with the more flexible Top List numbers. I don't understand it, but wanted to point out that this might also be the case with your stories. You might have to hunt for them. It has been fun watching the numbers swing all over as the system sorts itself out.

Isn't it just a case of being slow to recalculate, DripH? That happened with the old lists too.

I've had stories appear, then disappear, then reappear again on the Top Lists. Go figure it out.

ETA: The scores didn't change appreciably either.

Probably. The numbers never match up these days where in the past they did in my case. I never tracked it closely before though, but it got fun once things started changing. For some reason my scores got better, too. That really made me sit up and notice! :D

Things are tapering off again, votes wise. Now, if I could just think of something hot to write and bring in some new activity. Of course, the 'hottest' thing I've written probably holds a record low score! (4.17, after all these new sweeps brought it up!)

I need to get off here and read some more boring biology evolution (this week's topic along w/extremophiles.) Who feels like writing naughty after that? Not me.
