I have heard Laurel and Manu have some new script in the works that will help reduce the backlog. They are really doing a lot of behind the scenes work to keep the site running well even with the huge amount of traffic (I have heard some the site gets a half MILLION hits a day but don't know for sure.) and submissions they have, I have seen lots of story sites but none (including the biggest pay sites) with the quality and ease of user interface Manu and Laurel have provided. It looks like the site "runs itself" but I'll bet Laurel and Manu are running around like chipmonks hiding nuts behind the scenes. I'm sure some pay sites wish they could emulate Literotica's quality!! I for one appreciate how Laurel and Manu work so hard to give erotic amateurs this venue.

Cause Laurel and Manu (site owners) are redoing the scripts that run the site. Since they aren't professional webmistresses/masters, and are winging the whole thing, it's taken them alot of time and effort. Because of the new scripts, Laurel has developed a backlog, particularly since more and more talented authors are submitting their stories. She still welcomes all submissions enthusiastically, but it will take 6-8 weeks, best guess, at the current backlong. Once the new scripts are up, everything will be back to the usual 24-48 hours between submission and posting.

Site grew way faster than ever expected.

Hard for two people w/full-time+ jobs to manage.

Scripts should be launched around the end of October/beginning of November.

I know lots of sites that would give love to have that problem. I'm glad to here it. I guess that is why Adult sites are generally profitable in 6 months while regular sites like Amazon.com haven't made money in 5 years.

Yeah, well...

I couldn't agree more, Nice Guy. Laurel and Manu have gone out of their way to assist in posting my stories as soon as possible, and only because of my own brain-fartism. And beyond that, I think I've been adressing Laurel as 'Lauren', and they still haven't booted my sorry butt...
