Does anyone know what language this is?

Ok this has got me stumped, it was posted in the 'Adios' thread and for some reason its driving me crazy trying to figure out what language it is? Has anyone got any idea's?

Thanks. Is Laku noc` and Laku noch the same thing, or is it a different dialect?

I just found a language translator on the net
http://www.rxrc.xerox.com/cgi-bin/mltt/LanguageGuesser
and I typed in Laku noch and it said it was Slovakian, then I typed in Laku noc` and it said it was Czech.
Now I am really confused.

Serbo-Croatian

To explain why it would be necessary to explain the whole history of the Balkans. Srpski and Hrvatski (sp?) are two "languages" that are probably "closer" to each other than British English and Amercan English. But, because (German-influenced, Catholic) Croatians and (Orthodox) Serbians hate each other they claim to have two different languages.

Now, Mandarins and Cantonese can't understand each other, but they both consider themselves and each other to speak one language that we call Chinese.

So you see how politics play a role in defining languages.
Yes, laku noch means "good night" like someone said, and "moya prijatelj" is saying "my (feminine) something", probably "darling" cos they're always saying "dear" or "darling" with one word or another

. It's like that UL about Eskimos and snow. The Serbs/Croats have 200 words for "darling". I'll ask my Serb friend what the sentemce means.

I was wrong

My friend Aleks says it's not Serbo-Croatian. Maybe Slovak?

But we decided that it could mean "Good night friend, I will be dreaming of kissing you" or something similar.

Many different regions have different dialects. My Aunt is Argentinian. She speaks spanish, but eats a lot of Italian foods. Depends on where you are.

I dated a guy who was Croatian. Pretty messed up over there at the time. but anyway, he wrote me letters in Croatian. I dont know where they are but if I find them ~ Bindii ~ , would you mind translating??

They are all like that (alright maybe not all of them...lol). My SO is Croatian, but he told me to be more affectionate - I think he means I need two boyfriends......lol
