No, that wasn't a misprint. Not kidney stones. I'm HORRIFIED right now. Just went to the doc today, &, got a Cat Scan on my kidneys, &, pelvis. He found 3 prostate stones. I'm worried this will effect sexual function. But, he's like, "Nothing to be worried about. Blah, de fucking blah." HELLO!!!! I have stones in my prostate, &, I got nothing to worry about? Fuck that shit.

I wish I could say I know about it

but I do not. If it is like anything like kidney stones and what not I am sure it is treatable. It is just the unknown that you are stressing about and with good cause. Go on line and do some research perhaps that will ease some of your fears over it.

I wish you luck with it all.

Peace,
Tulip

Not to hijack the thread or overlook your fear and concern....but I know more about the Rolling Stones, than Prostate Stones.

Oh, and the other day my 17 year old kid saw the Stones concert on HBO advertised...I was like cool....His mom said what was that....His reply " a show about the tombstones or something"

Gawd am I old, and are these youngsters uninformed.

Done that. Not much help. Kidney Stones may be treatable, but, don't you also lose sexual function in the process?

Nasty what

did your Dr. say about the sexual tendencies after the removal of it all. When is the procedure and such?

Peace,
Tulip

There was a bulletin board also

listed in one of my searches. If the Dr. said it will be ok try to believe him. If not get a second opinion or call up your dr. to have a meeting with you. It just seems like you are looking for peace of mind right now.

I would bet that with your libido that you will not have a problem after all is said and done.

Peace,
Tulip

Any organ or bodily container that excretes or secretes or contains any mineral containing substances (which is danmed near everything) can form hard chunks of it. In your arteries they are "fondly" called gravel. (Remember that last plate of yummy bacon? Mmmmm....)
In your kidney's they are kidney stones.
In your gall bladder, they are gall stones.
In your salivary glands, they are salivary stones.

Don't bitch unless it causes a problem. There are tons of things found in the bodies of people through routine radiological exams that they would otherwise never have a clue about.
(Want to do a fun search? Look up "Teratomas".)

What makes you assume that this would need to be removed? (Remember what they say about when you ass-you-me something.)

Before jumping to conclusions, remember
1.) This was found incidently. It is unlikely the cause of the study.
2.) Ask any live action combat veteran if he has an opinion on digging into the body to remove something that is not causing a problem and likely won't ever.

True. That was the impression I got from nasty. Kidney stones have a way of working its way out of the system so perhaps the same for the prostate.

Again Nasty I hope you find the answers to what you are looking for.

Peace,
Tulip

Bad information! No, kidney stones do not affect sexual function.

I've had kidney stones on three different occasions and they never affected sexual function. They were all small enough to pass and did so without event.

Did you get an assessment of the size as to whether or not they will pass?

Ok here is what I know Prostate stones grow within the prostate, probably as a result of infection. Prostate stones do not migrate or pass. But then I have heard that some men claim that some of them do. Prostte stones are very common also I dont know the numbers but they are high. You can take something if you are prone to get them but again I dont remember. So I would ask your Dr. The main reason I would see them messing with you having sex is pain. They can become very painful.

(that is all due to the united states Air force and the training they gave me :p )
