Prickly Heat?

I am going to India on holiday at Christmas but the last few years when I have been in the sun I have developed a nasty dose of Prickly Heat. I have tried antihistimiens (spelling?) canastan, talc and an allergy free sun tan lotion, some of these have stopped the itching but not prevented it in the first place. This holiday is going to be mainly spent relaxing on the beach so I dont want to cover up. Any/all suggestions would be most welcome.

Solarcaine(tm) with Aloe

It's not going to stop the prickly heat, but it will "cure it" by numbing the skin as it moisturizes.

A lot depends on exactly what youmean by "Prickly Heat" but I suspect that keeping the skin moist will eliminate most of it. A moisturizing suntan lotion with a good SPF factor will help a lot.

Thanks for the info

Its a kind of rash of horrible pimply itchy spots and the only place I get it is on my chest

Sorry, CB being nosy but...

Where in India are you going?

We are going to Goa its mainly going to be a beach holiday I am in desperate need for some quality relaxation, but whilst we are there we have a trip up to Agra planned, can't go to India and not see the Taj. The info that I have read about Goa has made me realise that the place is very much a tourist resort and prehaps not a reflection of the real India and with only 2 weeks there I guess we're not going to see that much :( but Ive had my Jabs and my visa arrived yesterday so the countdown has started.

I'm luckier than you in the respect that from here in england its only a ten hour flight and 5 and a half hour time difference so with an overnight flight it shouldnt take to much of a toll on us.
