Does anyone else have problems getting an editor?

I've played hell getting anyone to respond to my editor requests. I've even taken to using the shotgun method and sending out requests to multiple editors at a time, but I have had no luck so far.

Any advice?

Well, you've done the right thing and given a brief synopsis and length of story. The only thing to add would be exactly what help you need - any plot points you're not sure about, spelling/grammar, maybe just a beta-read.

Most people have trouble finding an editor.

Your request has been in the Editor's Forum for about a week, which isn't a real long time. You might bump it up to the top to make it more visible.

You could always put a note at the end of your next story saying that you're looking. That's worked for me in the past.

No shortage of editors, artists, etc on fiverr.com I find freelancers there regularly.

I guess I'm lucky, I found an editor on here, and all I had to do was write an avatar of them into one of my more popular stories, which I've done for people before.

I'm terrible at self-editing, so I'm glad to have them on board. and said editor is a journalist and something of a pedant; the only regular stumbling block being that they're American and habitually misspell 'ou' words, lol.

But my stories are much much cleaner now, and 99% free of typos, which were my absolute bane.

Maybe consider offering to add someone into your story, or an acceptable avatar thereof. It worked for me.

I've had only one, continuous editor here, my primary erotica publisher, who is also a Literotica author. He edits all of my stories for publication and I, in turn, edit his and those of the other authors he publishes.

Hey, if you will put it in a google doc, and give me edit access, I'll help out. Assuming it isn't about shit or feet or underage, can't deal with that stuff. I've been sort of itching to edit a story again.

Now... I'm worth what you pay me... I /suck/ at grammer, speling and all that, but google docs helps and I'll catch a few errors. I'm good with flow and plot holes and typos, things like that. I can sort out confusions.
