For as long as I can remember, I have liked tomboys.

The first girl I ever liked was a tomboy. we experimented sexually in my bedroom when i was younger. I liked her. admired her. feared her.

Tomboys have always done something for me. I just want to grab them and fuck them sometimes, to tell you the truth. I am bisexual. I have done it with a male or two but i still have a thing for tomboys. I dont know why.
They really excite me. Sometimes I want to become friends with them, hang out with them and get to know them.

Between an elegant supermodel, a hot man with chiseled features and
a sweaty tomboy, I'll pick the tomboy. I still dont know why I like them. I have a thing for drag kings, too. just wanna grab em and do em.

WEird, huh ?

Anyone in here feel this way ?

What Stiffy said compells me to ask what may be an interesting question: Is there a difference between tomboyish and butch?

Good question...

When I was in HS, I barely knew that gay people existed (was from an overly conservatively religious upbringing) and she was too. (no - we are not related - I am not that kind of guy). She was grappling with realization of being lesbian I think, maybe bi herself? I will likely never know - though I must admit that I to this day wonder if she were bi, and if I would have had a chance if only I had the balls to ask her out (a big issue for me to this day - despite being so eloquent on the net when I want to be).

She dressed slightly on the butch side, with her hair being the only real giveaway, but hey - this was the late 80's - that was in fashion then, and we lived in a tiny town where people could live to their 60's and never see a person of color except for on television.

Well...when I was a sophomore, the one black family that lived in the school district left, largely because they were sick of verbal harassment from all the racists/ignorant folk from town. I can't blame them - I am white and hated that place, left ASAP.

It was a joke on the innacurate term "person of color."

a goofy aside...

I know "person of color" is the "preferred" term today but here goes. I am a student at a pretty liberal university. All the "white" professors use the PC terms for everything - but when I ask "people of color" in my classes to whom the term fits, they are more offended by "person of color" and just want to be called black.

I wonder if this is because maybe some white guy, trying to be sensitive, came up for yet another term to make people identifiable by their skin, not their intellect or individual qualities?

Any thoughts? I could use some clarification here, it is always welcome.

As I understand it, "person of color" can be used in reference to anyone who is not caucasian.

I don't know for certain, but I suspect each new term is usually devised by a member of the minority, but perhpas for the same reason you stated, to identify somone by thier complexion only. That is sufficient if you're describing or pointing someone out. It's much easier to say 'the tall black guy' rather than 'the tall guy' especially if there are a lot of tall guys around.

But to refer to any group in general only by complexion in most contexts I find rather insulting.
