I actually love to camp...
mornings offer the sounds of the birds, that dewy feel of a brand new day, the smell of bacon cooking, the coffee feels like it has been heaven sent....
the evenings offer the sounds of a crackling bonfire, drinking beer or wine or whatever suits you, yummy food grilled , the moonlight, which always seems to be even brighter and more beautiful when one is camping...reflections of the day, and anticipatory thoughts of the next day...
Do you like to camp in a wooded area or camp near water?

In 9 years, I will be done paying for it.
lol.. and I like to camp in a nice hotel.. where they meet you at the door with a heated, lavender-scented cloth and a bottle of spring water

I refuse to be what society thinks a widow should be. I've said this here before but I refuse to knit booties for birds or make casseroles to try to bag a widower. I also will not join the church bazaar, volunteer at the hospital or the library.

I give my time to the local food pantry and the animal shelter. My donations go to WWP, and children's charities like Make a Wish and Covenant House to name a few.
Do you throw out most of the charity requests you receive, with or without opening them?

no. I give to Maggie's Place, Jewish Family Services, and our local Humane Socieity. I don't really receive requests from too many other services.

No, I have yet to be truly scared...altho, I will admit that the only horror movie that began to get the hairs on the back of my neck rise was The Exorcist.
