I think if the woman typically classified herself as "straight" and the b/f asked that, then yes, that would make sense.
However, it does occur to me that if the woman classified herself as "bi", while the guy classified himself as "straight", then it's not really asking the same thing. And, before someone jumps on me, if the guy classified himself as "bi" and the woman classified herself as straight, I would think the guy asking her to "sleep with a woman" is asking for a lot, while the woman asking him to sleep with a man, is not asking for much.
