A few times. Once I worked in this shop, and a mother and daughter walked two steps in the door before turning a fleeing again. It transpired that they thought I was the daughter's ex. Another time I was walking through a supermarket and some stranger and I both mistook each other for somebody else. That was awkward.
Not quite. It was still somewhat of a shock to discover I have as many as I do.
Do you ever think you recognise someone who turns out to be a complete stranger?
A few times. But I'm a smiler, so I can play it off. I usually say something like "hey! How's it going?" Most people just think I'm friendly, I think.
(Everyone should have known sisters wouldn't come to a party wearing the same shirt ...)
