Do you write while horny?

I dont need to be shot and bleeding to write about a bullet wound. I dont need to be in the hospital to write about it. Or starving. Or scared shitless. I dont need to kill someone to write about an old experience.

It is imperative that you have experience of what you write, but I dont think it has to be simultaneous.

*laughs* If I'm not in an aroused state, I am writing something mainstream for money. Writing the erotica in the first place is a function of being in a aroused state for me.

The real question of this thread for me is--can you write mainstream prose when you are horny? I'm not sure I can. I have to take care of that first.

Yes I do write while I'm horny, alot of times it makes me hornier... but it gets me thru it, and that's the best thing about it!

Absolutely. And if I'm not horny when I start, I'd better have become horny before I'm finished, or the writing will have to be redone.

Yes, absolutely, although I really shouldn't. It takes waaay too long to write a story when you have to stop every few paragraphs for quickie (or, failing that, a quick wank). And it takes alot out of you.

But alot of my ideas have come from:
* Fantasies & other things I think are hot
* Things that have actually happened to me, that I found hot
* Stories, news items and the like that I can re-imagine as erotic stories
