do you use your phone while driving?

Only if I'm stck in traffic or at lights. Can't crash if I'm not moving!

Yes, I do. Not as much as when I was a salesman, but it seems I am always answering the damn cell phone when trying to go for parts, head to real job, etc.

Does driving in the fields count? Because I often get calls from family & salespeople when I am working in the field.

Yep - Bluetooth, steering wheel controls.

I think my staff get lonely without me there....they're on the phone constantly if I'm on the road :)

I sometimes make or take a call while driving. I just put the phone on speaker and sit it nearby. I'd rather not fumble for headphones while driving (or drive with an ear bud in), I don't have bluetooth in my car, and I'm not about to stick one of those dorky bluetooth ear pieces on. I sometimes use an FM transmitter through the car's speakers on long trips.

I never text while driving, and never will. Anyone who does should be shot.

Nope.

I almost did a bit a road rage yesterday when a woman was so busy messing with her phone she wasn't paying attention on 80 and almost hit me while we were stuck in traffic.

I'm not a self-centered asshole with absolutely no regard for the lives and safety of those around me, so no.

Well...okay, I am a self-centered asshole but not the other thing.

Bluetooth. I drive for a living and various arseholes are always trying to check up on delivery times. And it's a ÂŁ1000 fine plus six points on your license if you're caught using a phone while driving a HGV.

I like to harass my friends when I travel for work so I do use hands free. Other than that, no. My kids are old enough that they're thinking about driving and I try to be a good example.

No no and no.
I agree with the comment about being examples to your kids, here in South Africa it is a great problem and the youth are the main culprits, you are always hearing stories of kids dying cause of cellphone use while driving.

That text message, phone call is not that important, your life and someone elses is. If you have to then rather stop.

Hell no....the urban driving experience is difficult and stressful enough without the hassle of having to interact with another human being...which I hate doing while trying to focus. And srsbznz traffic requires srsbznz paying attention...if I need to call or the call is important I get off the road.

3am on a desert stretch of I-10 on my way out to TX or heading back up the coast where the only thing out there is the occasional pack of 18 wheeler's cruising 100-110mph themselves.

Damn right I'm on the phone.....cruise control, pig detector and a big ol' fatty shootin' the shit. Should totally get a CB...trucker trolling on road trips....sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

BREAKER BREAK FORE TWENNY!!

Nah. I don't answer it half the time it rings anyway.

It always makes me twitchy though when I see someone behind me or too close on the phone.

Rarely but yes. Mine is a hand held. I do not text but I do answer the phone and talk.

Yes. My phone is paired with my car. It connects when the car starts and calls come through the stereo. All controls are on the steering wheel.

Someone got arrested here a few years back for eating an apple. Part of me wants to drive down the M1 eating a plate of spaghetti just to get on one of those documentaries.

Skoda Drivers Do The Funniest Things. :D
