I joined twitter about a year ago to see what all the fuss was about and decided that it was stupid. A few months ago I realized that a whole ton of my friends were now also on twitter and so I started it up again, and being able to follow my friends, and have them follow me, I'd say it clicked and I got it. Now I twitter incessantly throughout the day, and really enjoy watching it all update.

I just use facebook for my isolated blurts usually...

I don't know. He claims to have a method of getting a targeted audience and making money with it. At any point in the first 90 days he'll give you your money back with no questions asked. So he says.

Actually, I agree completely. I haven't signed up for TweeterGetter myself. But I figured if WD was going for major follower numbers, he could start there rather than paying for it!
I figure most of the people who sign up for that end up unfollowing people pretty fast. It would be interesting to find out what percentage of people actually stick with the people they end up following as a result of that site. I've only seen one of my friends sign up for it, and they run a business, so I'm not too surprised that they signed up.

Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk) was the first to crack 1 million not long ago - he's now up to 1.2 million.
Oprah (@oprah) just started on Twitter TWO DAYS AGO and she has just shy of 340,000. JAY-sus.
It's all about how you use it, though. I use it primarily to communicate with friends near and far. I get a little bit of news from it (primarily GLBT stuff, I follow @gaysdotcom and some others) but mostly it's about friends for me.

I have two separate ones. NO WAY I'm going to post my pervy thoughts out there to my vanilla friends LOL.
I actually find it quite liberating to have a place to post that kind of thing. I'm quite enjoying it!

I enjoy being able to be blunt and open like that all the time. I twit things I'd never tell my family and I've made it a point to tell my sister if she ever uses twitter to NOT follow me. My roommate's little sister got the same warning and still follows me. It's not my fault she has nightmares about me getting anally fisted now. She should have known better.
I only have one twitter account and I bet you can't guess it's name... oh wait... ammre! I'm a social networking feind.
