His actions and his posts point in that direction. I've just come onto the Boards and saw the havoc he's been creating whilst I've been asleep...

Just like the the action of someone who's mad, or at least very close to the edge...

Which leads me to the question of what do we do about him.

If he really is suffering a complete breakdown all of us have to ask ourselves the question of what we should do about him. Is he like this in real life? Is he a danger to other people? Since he's been posting there is nothing to indicate that he wouldn't commit some crime against another human being.

So in all honesty we should report him to the appropriate authorities. I for one would hate to think that through my inaction a life may be lost.

So how do we report him? All I can think of is to contact the police, tell them where he's posting and let them trace him through his IP address. There's plenty of evidence on the Board to make them think he's worth investigating.

But then how would Manu and Laurel react to an investigation by the authorities? Not favourably I should think. And there are others who's posts look insane but most of us realise are nothing but windups.

He could I suppose be banned from Literotica, again using his IP address, but that would be putting the responsibility on Manu and Laurel. Supposing they decide to let Hans run out of steam? I could go with that as long as I also didn't think that he has very strong homicidal tendencies.

I'm all in favour of reporting him to the police but at the same time I don't want Literotica involved...

I've been hearing the Hanns is about to be busted story for as long as he's been here.

Unless he's broken the law, all that can be done is to report him to his ISP, and MAYBE they'll close his account for violation of service.

There is nothing to prevent him from signng up with another ISP in a matter of minutes.

If you go to vbulliten.com, the makers of the software that runs this site, they have a bulliten board for support questions, bugs, etc that is wide open to the public (why I don't know).

Flooding the board and "making it wide" with the use of special characters in the headings are all simple hacks.

If Hanns could be found I doubt the authorities would put down a doughnut over this stuff.

Ish can't find Hanns. If he could he wouldn't be using innuendo fishing posts trying to blame me, ADR, Ginny/Tortoise, Freya2, etc etc etc. for being Hanns or his "co-conspirators".

The responsibility for dealing with Hanns rests squarely with Laurel & Manu.

Anything else said here about it is baloney, bullshit and self-strokery by anyone who does it.

If you go to vbulliten.com, the makers of the software that runs this site, they have a bulliten board for support questions, bugs, etc that is wide open to the public (why I don't know).

Flooding the board and "making it wide" with the use of special characters in the headings are all simple hacks.

If Hanns could be found I doubt the authorities would put down a doughnut over this stuff.

Ish can't find Hanns. If he could he wouldn't be using innuendo fishing posts trying to blame me, ADR, Ginny/Tortoise, Freya2, etc etc etc. for being Hanns or his "co-conspirators".

The responsibility for dealing with Hanns rests squarely with Laurel & Manu.

Personally, I don't think a Denial-of-Service attack is what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote about Freedom of the Press. But what I think has no effect on how this site is operated. That is the business of the operators.

The First Amendment of the US Constitution restricts the US Government only. It implies that there is a God-given right of every individual to freedom of expression. To what extent the site operators guarantee any individual this right is their concern alone.
