Do you think a story would have a better chance

at doing well in one of the contests(if it fit) or just regular? I have a story for Christmas but I can't deciede where it will do better. I've been in some of the contests and it seems like after alot of other authors submit......My story gets voted down. Almost like someones readers are voting it down on purpose. Once the contest I was in was over.........my votes went back up. Very odd. LOL
