i have told my friends, and they dont mind, and if they did, i doubt they would be my friends to begin with lol. i dont think anyone in my family would understand it, but my friends are all pretty cool, and open minded, so visiting a cite like this doesnt cloud their opinion of me

Have told a few people about Lit myself. Actualy had a friend in real life who registered and started posting here for awhile. Didn't really like the place though, so he stopped coming long ago. Other then him, I've told a few people, both friends and family. Nobody really cares what I do with my internet time.

Just to clarify what I just said...

Most of my friends are around my age and we don't really have any thing left to feel embarrased about. And also most of them either have a computer but are not internet connected or don't even have a computer, so I use Lit, especially this board, to try and get them enthusiastic about the whole thing. The internet I mean not Lit!!

And the more I've shown people on my own machine the more I've realised how good the Lit site is as a teaching tool.

That's what I meant when I said I tell people all the time...

I've told a few people, mostly friends. One of them is in the Navy, and lurks around just to see what I'm up to now, and normally shares it will a roomful of seamen (woohoo!) Interesting ..

I also told my sister, who is seven years older than I am. We kinda had this hugely long drunken sisterly talk where we told each other our secrets. She just laughed and said she'd never suspect her 'serious little sis' would be that into sex.

But no one's really been weirded out by it or anything - just laughing that someone who appears so serious and studious would be here. But this side of myself is only shown to a few - and that definately does not include my sister or seamen!

I tell people that I hang out on a message board sometimes (ok, everyday!) But I don't tell them which one or that it's a porn board.

I do have a Lit banner on my website, but none of my real life friends ever go there (even though they do know the address). My reason is that I post stuff here that I wouldn't say in real life. For example, that I'm bi.

Maybe one day I would tell someone, if I thought they would like it here as much as I do.

Yes. I have referred friends here in the past. I have told my parents (when I go to their place for dinner and laundry) about a BB site I visit and write stories for. And in the few AOL chat rooms I am a "regular" to I have mentioned Lit a lot. Why be ashamed or embarrassed to come here?

My mom, who giggled a little and hasn't been back (Mainly because she broke my computer and can't get online with it)

My cousin, who's alot less of a bitch than me and is intimidated by the way we interact here, and by the fact that we're so closely knit in so many ways. I know she looks at Lit alot, cause I've always got to log her username off and then log back in when I get on, but I never see her posts. (Post, ya fucking skag )

Uh, when my personal site was still up I had copies of my stories and links to lit and my dad saw my site and commented on everything BUT the Lit references. I'm sure he saw them. I don't really care cause I'm a big girl, but it was a little freaking odd to think of my father possibly reading stuff his little girl wrote about SEX.

I have mentioned to my mom that I have some online friends, but no specifics. My parents would probably need a defibrillator handy if I told them I was here, my ex would think I was a pervert, and my daughter couldn't handle it either.

Some of my friends could handle it fine, others would not understand at all - I don't really care to find out who would and who wouldn't, so I keep my mouth shut. Those who would think me a pervert would probably not keep their mouth shut.
