Wuss! You cut down and switched! Wuss! LOL

LOL yeah yeah yeah, I admit it I used to be a marlboro smoker. Close to 2 packs a day.

And yeah Angel the Newport switch is your doing LOL

Marlboro red in a box (what smoker isn't picky about their brand?)
and switching to Newports would be harder than quitting. ;)

Marlboro light 100's, in the box.. (I'm picky too Angel)

Was smoking 1 before work, 1 on both breaks and lunch, and 1 after work. Usually none at home... but if I go out for the weekend, I can inhale a whole pack.

I said was, I haven't smoked for 3 days, wish me luck.. the craving is killing me.

I've been smoking Marb Ultra Lights for two days, mainly because they make me gag and Im hoping it'll kill my desire to smoke.

It's not working though. I am about to break down and run out for a pack of newports before I become insane and kill someone.

Yes, but I had you smoking REAL newports. Lights taste like stale gum.

I smoke Cigars now and then...

Churchills...

I smoked Mary when there used to be undoctored/not weirdly grown Censamean(definately sp)...

They'd make me gag too... for godsake woman, it would be easier to quit cold turkey then smoke that shit. If you're going to kill your lungs, smoke the good shit.

Newports? Aren't they menthols? Good stuff.

Nope, never had the desire to start smoking. I grew up with a dad who smoked and that alone was enough to make me hate the smell of smoke. That, and my allergies. I can' t breathe when I'm around smoke.

Yes, lovely lovely menthols.

*sneaks outside to smoke one that she bought earlier*

Oooooh I used to smoke menthol...Virginia slims menthol lights...come to think of it I would have been better off if I never switched.

That's sinsemilla Demian, and mine isn't laced...I hope. :)

I quit my two pack-a-day habit 5 years ago, but even now the smell of cig smoke outside brings back the urge. I'm a true junkie, but I'll never smoke again.

I started way back when I was 16 and quit 2 years ago. 32 years of smoking. And I, like miles, am a true junkie. The smell of cigarette smoke can bring the urge back in a hurry. I was a cigarette only smoker. Started on Camel straights, but over the years I've smoked several brands, Pall Mall's, Marlboro, Winston, Salem, Kool, Marlboro Lights and finally Winston ultra lights, at 2 1/2 packs a day.
The reason I quit? About three years ago I went for a back pack trip with my scout troop. 6 miles in on a twelve mile trail, with a 50 lb. pack, I found I couldn't keep up with the youngsters. I had to stop and catch my breath a lot more often then I should have. I went to see my doctor the next week and he prescribed Zyban. Took me 6 months but I finally quit. Over the years I've tried to quit at least 2 dozen times, but I finally managed. Do I still want one? Yep. Will I ever go back? Not on your life!
For those trying to quit; It's said that a smoker will attempt to quit at least a dozen times before they finally manage too. Don't give up hope. Don't quit trying. I'm a died in the wool nicotine junky, but I managed, so there is hope. Hang in there. Anybody that says it's easy is a fucking liar. It ain't; But it is damned sure worth it.

Comshaw

PS: A side note. When I quit i took the money I was spending on cigarettes and put it in a jar. That was $6.00 a day; $180.00 every 30 days; $2190.00 a year. I use that money when I want to treat myself to something, bike parts, clothing, anything that I want and is a treat for me. It helped me to quit and is still helping to keep me away from smoking. Some times it comes down to the choice of a smoke, or a new leather riding jacket. Jacket here I come!

Yep, I smoke, stupid, disgusting, nasty! I quit once for seven years, then picked the stupid things back up, not one of my brightest ideas.:(

OH how could you... and I promised all this good stuff too

I think.. i'll quit smoking the day you quit stalking Never.

You know, I've been smoking this heavy for about a year and a half.. I thought I would have the willpower to quit when I wanted, but I was wrong. I don't have anyone here to occupy my time. I'm sitting here depressed and stressed, reading threads from the time I get home from work, till the time I go to bed. When I have a reason to 100% quit, then maybe I'll have more desire.. but until then, don't count on it. I will slip from time to time.

You left out at least one alternative. I haven't had POT in so long I can't count the # of years - lately I've had a craving to have some - unfortunately I don't have a clue how to get it anymore! *LOL*

Other than that - I enjoy a good cigar every now and then.

The StudMuffin smokes. He does it in my house and he's a dead man, though I do pretend that I have no idea he lights up in the bathroom. Until he doesn't clean it, then I make his life hell just out of pure spite. We're at a stalemate. I'm a fuckin bitch cause I like it and he smokes cause he likes it. Though he did try that stupid, "You knew I smoked when you married me," schtick. *rolls eyes* Oh Puh-lease. I don't know what pissed me off worse, the insult to my intelligence or the fact that he thinks his need to smoke supercedes my need to breath smoke free air.
