DYR: When once, you had to drive around looking for a phone booth to make a call (and use that rotary dialer); later, you had to drive around until you found a spot with enough bars on your big clunky mobile phone to make a call.

How soon before the phone is implanted behind our ear, with some 'skype-y' module in our eye?

(PS: I still don't have the flying car they said we'd all have by now!)

Better yet, driving around in a city your weren't familiar with looking for a phone booth that had a phone book with the local map still in it. ;)

For those in California, the staff's and bells that signified the original HWY 1 path that led to the various missions? before people started "collecting" the bells and staff's. So they changed them to plastic representations instead of actual replacements for the old, original stuff.

Drive thru grocery stores? When you wanted to get some quick shopping done, there was a drive thru area. You gave the order to the guy and he went and got it for you, bagged it, and put it in your trunk.

DYR? Going to camp, and making a collect call home? Or dialing "O" and asking the operator for help?

do you remember when little kids begged to sit in the front seat and there were no car seats or booster seats?

DYR when 'Rubbermaid' was just some products your mom had, and not a fashion choice?

Do you remember when heavy petting was the highlight of a really good date?
Have you done any lately?

Do you remember Buzzby. He was the big yellow bird that advertised the post office telephone, back in the day it was just the post office. Before they decided to split and created B.T.
The post office was also the only place to buy stamps!

Do you remember blackjacks, and when they were 1/2 a pence each.
And a 10p mix had 15 to 20 sweets in it.

I remember when you bought a bag of black jacks it also had fruit salads with them (pineapple and raspberry)

There used to be two different types of sweets both called "refreshers"
