I was at her wedding this past weekend. Posting this with her permission, so cool yer jets. I just figured some folks might still be here who remember her as a fun, flirty poster. She married a wonderful guy from a big, fun Italian family with plenty of joie de vivre. Lovely wedding, and a fun reception. The tables at the reception were decked out in a theme of different books. Place cards were old fashioned library book cards. There was a candy bar, where you could take a little paper bag and fill it from large jars of sweet stuff. Great food, all vegetarian, of course. There was a photo booth with a bunch of costume accessories. And plenty of dancing. Good times. She's doing really well, super happy.

I hear she's starring in the new Star Wars movie.

She could. I found out this weekend that she did a little modeling in her salad daze. She'd need some work on her accent.

That last dig is just in case she decides to lurk.

I don't know who that is but I really have not been here too terribly long.

I remember BeBe and regard her as one of the most personable and sweetest people who have ever landed on this board.

Congrats to her and her beloved. May they live long and prosper!

Thanks, Perg, for letting us know about the the happy union!:kiss::kiss:

Nice of you, Fala. Nice to "see" you, as well. I sent her the link, so she might make an appearance yet.

Hello, Jezzi. She was one of the great, flirty, sweet tempered posters who managed to stay out of the drama and be nice to everyone. A rarity here. But I'm sure the GB is still the fun place it always was...none of us is all that important in the grand scheme. Nice to make your acquaintance.

It is really nice to see someone remembered fondly

jezzi....you are quickly moving right into BeBe's shoes. It doesn't take long for most of us to recognize a diamond here...and you sure sparkle.

:)

BeBe was and is a thoroughly lovely person. Her wedding pics are amazing; it must have been excellent to have actually been there.

Hrrrm...to certain degrees, perhaps! ;)

We could certainly use more BeBes and less...eh, you know! :D

Good for her, hope she has a long life of wedded happy n' joy. :rose:

What a completely fucking charming wedding. Those are the best weddings that bring joy to everyone in attendance ... where you can feel the love. Candy helps. As do books and a happy couple. Mazel tov out there BeBe.

I remember the name but don't remember ever posting with her. Regardless, I'm so happy for her, or anyone, who finds that kind of happiness. Her wedding sounds like it was amazing. There's nothing more beautiful than a happy bride. Congrats to her and her hubby.

I saw some of the pictures posted. The celebration looked amazing! Congratulations to the Mr and Mrs!

She was fun. I'd gladly replace her with the 10 or so less valuable posters that still hang around.

I don't think I ever spoke with her -- or to be more accurate, she never spoke with me  -- but sure, I remember her.

I'm happy for her, and look forward to updates in future issues of the Lit alumni magazine.

I find it so interesting that some of you get to know one another in real life, off of this board! Glad that not everyone here is strangely political and unapproachable. I have wanted to reach out on occasion but seems like most have their guard up, understandable so.

I think I've met in person around fifty people from here now. Surprisingly, they're...people. Same as the crowd on a given day in a corner bar in a particularly cosmopolitan city, which is the best description of the GB I've managed to find. Some were people I didn't care for, some didn't care for me, and a lot of them have become good friends. It's possible to get to know people pretty well here. I'd say reach out. Send a PM, "Hey, I really enjoy posting with you. Just thought I'd say so." Worst that happens is the person's paranoid and thinks you're scary...so what?

I'm pretty sure my first PM to BeBe was something like "You're really turning me on with your posts."

Awwwww! Our young woman is all growed up. *sigh*

from The Princess Bride-

Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam… And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva… So tweasure your wuv.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments and well wishes! They are very much appreciated.

A super special thanks to Perg - for being such a generally amazing person and really helping my wedding day be completely perfect. There is nothing we would have changed and having one of my most dear friends assist in our sealed union was amazing!
