Have you been promoted?
Has your role changed?
Do you think you should earn more money for what you do?

Why do you think you should earn more money?

I have two jobs. In both I am my own employer, and I'm paid in proportional dividends or overhead.

So I have exactly the wage I deserve. Sort of. I do think my customers are cheaping out on me from time to time, but that's the free market for ya.

I am a child of the universe, no less than the stars or unicorns, I have a right to be here! So pay me!

Around here, all the guys could use a rise, every day, as a matter of fact.
Raise you ten, and call.

My wage could be better for my day job but its pretty good actually, plus my daughter and I have benefits. The issue for me is unnecessary stress created by my direct superiors and their manager. The two higher managers above them are actually very cool. So there are others below me who I treat very well, and the ones above me that I have to tolerate. This prompts me to not want to move up to that supervisor level and yesterday I did finally mention some of the disrespect to our HR director since it effects co-workers at my level, not just me.

Clearly one woman really hates her job and the other guy is a power tripper. They should be shown video feed with audio for some of the crap that they dish out. We're on camera almost all of the time for other security reasons but I'd like to see it become a training tool. Unfortunately there's no audio.

In my side job as a dance instructor and performer its just crap. I used to be able to teach privately for $35. per hr and mixed classes had a rate of $12. per. The economy has forced my studio to reduce rates so now I'm the highest paid at $10. per student per class with others choosing to go down to $9. None of us are getting any private students at all even with that rate being lower. In 2011 I had two privates who took maybe five classes each. Getting gigs is harder and our musicians are really suffering. Most of us performers are dancing with CDs these days or if there are live musicians they are way under paid and we end up giving them our tips.

I am overpaid.

But I'm not complaining.

How else could I afford all my bitches.

my wages are shite.

but...

the care budget is finite.
i would rather put up with shit pay than see care packages cut.
it's an aging population. if everyone got the care they needed, if we were paid what we're worth, the country would go bankrupt!

This is an adult forum. You are allowed to say shit.

My pay is a direct result of the clients I sign and is all 5500 reportable thanks to Spitzer. Prior to Spitzer I robbed mother fuckers blind!

The harder I work the more I make. A almost forgotten concept.

if by 'ghetto' you mean 'victorian, red brick terrace in a sleepy, rural market town.' then i am totally ghetto!

Doll obviously Richard failed to show you the finer points of America on your visit.

Aww... I love it when you get modest.

it sounds even better when said in a scouse accent.
One can't say it any other way, in my experience.

"Baby" is different: I can't quite get the hang of saying "bayb-eh."

Also, the stop in place of the "t" is hard.
