If you do, what is it and how long have you played?

What instrument do like hearing being played?

JL:kiss:

Drums and voice... I played drums since I was 13 including 8 yrs off and on with a pub band called Camouflage that I also did lead vocals for...

I love listening to just about any instrument as long as it is played well but my real passion is for blues guitar...

Well, this one time at band camp...........:D

I don't play any instrument.

But, I love hearing the bass guitar.

Piano since I was 5. Guitar occasionally, but not very well. I started playing alto recorder in college, but only played with any frequency for about a year, I'd love to take that up again, and someday I hope to learn to play the Celtic harp.

What instruments do I love to hear? Drums...contemporary, native, ethnic...any of them get my heart pounding and the blood rushing through me. Bass guitar too. My first love seduced me by playing the bass guitar for me :)

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, and Trumpet.

All more or less since I was a kid. In styles lending to SKA and punk.

Vocal.... though I used to be able to play the Violin (badly) and I've got a mean triangle composition somewhere....

You sound very talented, K.

The blues guitar is something I haven't heard very much. Do you have someone special that you like to hear play it?

Guitar. 21 years.
I like to play furry harmonicas too.

:)

I know this isn't exactly an instrument, but I've been singing ever since I can remember. Starting at 5 years old, when my father's high school (he was also a teacher) put on their yearly talent show, I performed. I was in all the musicals in my school, and last year I was taking voice lessons for a while.

Played correctly, any instrument can sound amazing. I especially love bass and bass guitar.

I play the bass guitar fairly well(Six years now) and the guitar poorly.

I can play standup bass if need be

on stage i play guitar (since i was 16), banjo (two years) flute (since fourth grade) and mandolin (one year).

i can play a very average harmonica and a real basic bass guitar and have been trying to play the fiddle for 20+ years and if i practice and hour a day for a month i can get all the way up to "i suck"...

Piano, Cello and violin. Been playing piano since age 8, cello since 12 and violin since 13.

I love hearing drums, tribal drums.

Good morning, juicylips!

Well, I've been playing the piano since I was around 10 years old. I took lessons for many years. At first I hated those lessons, but now that I'm older I enjoy playing. I don't have a piano in my home, but when I visit my sister back east, I always find the time to play the old piano that I grew up with.

I also play the acoustic guitar and have been since I was about 16 years old. I don't play it now, though, as I gave that guitar to my nephew when he decided he wanted to learn. He still has it and plays it probably more than I did. lol

I was also in a band in my senior year of high school. I sang with them and played the tambourine. It was a great time back then.

The instruments I enjoy listening to are just about all. Music is something I find so intriguing and passionate. I guess, though, that I'm partial to the wailing of the saxophone.

Well personally no,but I am shelling out a $1000 for my daughter to play trumpet. Surely that counts right?

Yes, sweetie..that most definitely counts.:)

Hi Enchanted!!

ltr..kiss tiger for me.:D
JL

I'm right there with Enchanted, minus the tambourine... I used to sing, from elementary school through high school. I've played piano since I was three or so -- my dad is/was a musician and pretty much forced it on me, lol, but I enjoy it and would like to get a bit better. I also play acoustic guitar, but not incredibly well. My fingers are too short to play block chords very well. Either that or I suck. Could be either one, lol.

I love to hear drums -- there's something about percussion that just gets my body moving. Fortunately there's an excellent all-percussion band at my college called Sambistas... I LOVE watching them!

Pretty much any instrument played well can sound amazing, but I have special weak spots for piano, electric and acoustic guitar, drums, and a couple others I can't think of at the moment.

Thank you Cassidy... I don't have a favourite as such although I love Robert Johnsons work and of course BB King... from the modern batch I love to listen to Gary Moore. I did a few Thin Lizzy numbers in the band, and we are going to be doing Still Got the Blues for a wedding soon... I am as nervous as hell... I haven't played or sung for a few years now.

I was asked to quit both Band AND Chorus, so that shows you how much musical talent *I* have!

:D

Cool thread! Musicians are a special breed, for certain.

I began play classical and accoustic guitar. I started at age 8. I played saxophone from age 9 until 24. (That would have been my master instrument.)

I dabble in keyboards and can manage most wind instruments.

Oh, and voice...yes, I was a vocalist for a very long time and now, I just sing!

:D

Errr does the skin flute count? Started at age 19 and only getting better with age!

:p
