Do you own your body?

DeSantis doesn’t even pretend he’s not a fascist anymore.

The runty jackass is loud and proud.

None of the magats give a shit about hiding in the shadows any longer. Kind of like how gays came out when they wouldn’t be burned at the stake or beaten to death on the street just for being themselves. Orange Fuhrer has normalized racism, mental illness, all flavors of hate and violence—and flat out anti-democracy thinking—all under the false pretense of being a patriot.

You must be a man. An American woman will not be able to answer "yes". Or even "mostly". Let alone be glib about it.
As long as my boy has Selective Service obligations waiting for him when he hits 18? Men don't own their bodies either.

I'm voting Democrat because of all of the above.

So you're saying that we should be paying women like we pay soldiers. And we can also provide them housing, medical care, clothing, life insurance, housing assistance, education assistance and all of the other benefits. If you want to compare selective service to forced gestation and birth then you need to carry it all the way through. Are you willing to grant all women who are forced to be pregnant and give birth all of the benefits that come with being in the service?

If you aren't, then the two aren't very comparable are they?

Just my lil opinion here:

1. The demographics of our population is changing and it’s projected that 2050 will be the end of whites in America being the majority. There’s no subtlety to trump - his appeal registered with those who claim to love American principles on equality but fear actually making attempts to share. He convinced them that this was their last and best chance to secure their supremacy.

2. The historic election of America’s first black president convinced many good Americans into giving ourselves a pat on the back that then turned into complacency. Despite the warning signs blaring right there in front of our faces, it led many of us to underestimate toxic white male privilege and/or the greed for power of the Republican Party which is invariably much stronger than any love reserved for wife, daughters, or mother.
That could explain a lot of the white male demographic (at least among white, straight, evangelical/Catholic/Mormon men), but another question refers to the one third of Latino men who voted for Trump in 2016. Oddly, one of my colleagues who is MAGA himself claimed that he believes that a lot of Latino men just won't vote for a woman, period, and that "Democrats don't know their own base," and he might actually have a point there about the potential misogyny within that community. Any thoughts about this claim?

We really just need to bring back the Equal Rights Amendment (with proper, gender-neutral language), ratify it, and the bulk of the gender-based grievances for both sides will fade as these matters are adjudicated in the courts.

Even men's rights groups support the ERA. And feminists. How many times do you get groups that disparate who agree to support the same law? And who's stopping it? The fucking conservatives... whom MRAs often align with. Someone make that make sense to me...

Why the absolute hell would I not? What a silly questio- oh, I get it. You think I'm one of those conserviturds. Well nope, I ain't. I think housing, medical care, clothing, life insurance, housing assistance, education assistance and all of the other benefits should be provided for all Americans, bar none. I also feel we should have mandatory vaccinations (consistently ignoring arguments about bodily autonomy there, too), a ban on carbines and assault rifles, mandatory and immediate processing of rape kits... yeah, I'm a Socialist Democrat and I vote straight blue. Not to please you but because that's the world I really, really want.

Honestly though? I think the only true solution to saving unborn children is artificial wombs.

Well that's good at least. Most men completely lose it with the comparative concept, so I'm glad to see that you understand the similarities.

I am used to SS registration being compared, but I rarely see anybody willing to take it to the logical conclusion.

Food for thought: women are "registered" when they get their first period.

New report: estimated 134 rape-induced pregnancies happened daily in abortion-ban states

An estimated 134 rape-induced pregnancies occurred each day in the 14 states with an abortion ban during the period from July 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024, according to a new Center for American Progress (CAP) Action analysis of data published in January. The actual figure is likely higher given that many women do not report being raped, which leads to sexual assaults being dramatically undercounted, Will Ragland, vice president of research for advocacy and outreach at CAP Action, said in an interview.

Grim.

Samuel Dickman, one of the authors of the original study, said in an interview that there is increasing evidence that abortion bans with so-called rape exceptions are “completely meaningless” because there is scant evidence that rape survivors are actually getting abortion care.

"What about women having control over their own body?"

"I overturned Roe V Wade and everyone wanted it overturned."

Fucking A.
