Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Cori Bush of Missouri were among the group of Democratic lawmakers who gathered at the steps of the Capitol and marched toward the Supreme Court as part of a civil disobedience rally.
Capitol Police officers escorted lawmakers away from the intersection to process their arrests, according to multiple reporters at the scene. The officers arrested a total of 34 people, including 16 members of Congress, Capitol Police tweeted.
"Today my colleagues and I put our bodies on the line—because we will leave no stone unturned in our fight for justice," Bush tweeted on Tuesday. "Bans off our bodies."

"There is no democracy if women do not have control over their own bodies and decisions about their own health, including reproductive care," Maloney said.
‘She can develop an infection that can make her sterile and never able to have children again,’ Shapiro said. ‘When the baby dies inside, the baby starts to release parts of its tissue that can get into the mother’s blood supply. It can cause organ failure. It can cause death.’
In Texas, doctors who perform such surgeries could put themselves at risk of lawsuits. Stell carried the dead fetus in her womb for two weeks before she found a medical provider willing to perform her D&C.
no-one who hasn't experienced the knowledge of carrying a dead fetus inside them can begin to imagine what it can do to a person‘I get so angry that I was treated this way because of laws that were passed by men who have never been pregnant and never will be,’ Stell said in a video recapping her experience shared to her YouTube channel.
If I was a woman, I’d be staying far away from red state shitholes. Hell, I’m still staying far away from red state shitholes.ultrasound 1 - 7 fetus alive
ultrasound 2 at 9 weeks - fetus dead, non-viable
but they couldn't perform an abortion till a 3rd ultrasound confirmed the second... and even then the woman had to find someone willing to perform the procedure. This resulted in her carrying the dead tissue inside her for 2 weeks, placing her life at risk. Is it any wonder she's considering leaving Texas to raise her living child and going through future pregnancies?

Your claim was that it was mostly Democrats have abortions.Read the Gallup. Or provide something better.
Your failure is yours to admit or correct.
Your claim was never proven and therefore isn't needed to be refuted. Good try.Let’s agree to disgree until you provide sources that prove me wrong.
Provide something to support it and maybe someone will feel the need to counter.I acknowledge that you don’t accept my argument and have provided nothing to counter it.
Have a nice day!
Sara Pequeño, a journalist with The News & Observer, a daily newspaper based in Raleigh, North Carolina, tweeted that while the bill is "scary," it was important to note the context around it.
"I understand the desire to get folks fired up about abortion rights and the bill filed in Feb 2021 by Larry Pittman (who has said and done a lot of wild stuff) is scary," Pequeño wrote. "But to say it was just filed and leave out context is not good for North Carolina morale."
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...pc=U531&cvid=58ebf722115c48dee104b5ca0a7e0258Pequeño noted that only five out of 120 representatives had signed on to the bill despite there being a "very vocal anti-abortion" Republican Party in the state.
