I have several LED type flashlights, they are quite good. There are many on the market that are way over priced too. I use the Techlite Lumen Master. I buy them three at a time at Costco:

Nano fits on the key chain, I couldn't believe how bright the lil sucker was. Lifetime guarantee too. Only $6 too.

I do have LED flashlights in my cars because they are small. At home I have a 4 d battery Maglite. The light is better and I can use it as a club if I need to.

The flash lite on my phone is more like a little glow light. It can help me find the keyhole to a lock but is otherwise useless.

I've got three of these, one I keep in my car. They work pretty good in a pinch.

I've got this. Doesn't look like much but it does 800 lumens on high. Bitch puts out a lot of light in one small package. No, not much of a weapon. Though the strobe setting can "stun" or be a portable disco party.

Every summer and winter we lose power during storms, so I have flashlights in every room, as well as out the front and back, in each shed and in each car.
I also have a gazillion candles.
This is because I suffer from night-blindness, and even after years in this house I still walk into walls and doors
Most of the outside flashlights are large maglites, and the inside ones are led torches.
