I had never really thought about my voice or what it sounded like until I was set up on a blind date through a local radio station. Since then, the person that I met (and his brother) have said that I sound (in person and on the phone) exactly as I did on the air with my radio voice. That made me laugh. :)

I get to do voiceovers with it, and it makes at least one female melt, so i'm happy with it :D

I have different voices.

One I use for the phone, one in person, one when I am excited and one when I am aroused.

I think it confuses my lovers, past and present.

But, it isn't a conscious decision, it's just natural for me.
Edited to add that no, I don't like my voice.

I've always been told I have a great voice, and just a couple weeks ago, a patient told me "God..you should do phone sex!"...I'm guessing that was a compliment??? lol

I know what you mean! I used to go on CB radio and I had a deep throaty voice, which I have also used on the phone...When I speak in a normal tone, I still sound that way. It's when I have to raise my voice (yell at my kids, call out to a neighbor etc) when it is not quite the same. Some like my singing voice also. :)

The irony of it is that as a child, I was told one time that I sounded nasally, and I just have never shook that comment. I've heard hundreds of positives about my voice, but they still don't seem to weigh as much as that one negative. That's silly, I know.

You have a nice voice, Mia;)

Lots of people have a tendency to remember the negative things people say to them...sometimes it is the negatives that make a deeper impression. I am my own worst critic; I bet you are too.

You know, the folks who have heard my voice aren't on

Dammit! NO ONE LOVES ME!!

Okay, drama over. Hee hee hee:)

I'd love to talk to you, Mama, but I have a nasty sinus infection. So I kinda sound like I am losing my voice.

LOL!!

So do I, but I am riddled with allergies! Though my voice is still working..

My voice I hate.

But it is odd, it changes pitch, timber, and accent depending on who I am talking to.

Get me to the south, and I have a great southern accent. North, and I go 'Jersy.

I kinda view it as camaflage.

I love the way you put that!

I don't like my voice at all. I hate my southern drawl. But my b/f thinks its the sexiest so I guess I should keep it :D

I get the 'you have the sexiest voice I ever heard', and the 'you could do phone sex' lines, even from male relatives. When I hear myself speak, I think I sound nasally, and not sexy at all, but whatever floats their boat.

I like my voice. It's got a deep growl-like quality to it...that's the best way I can describe it ;)

It is sexy you know

I am not doubting you for a moment.

And I have actually worked on a phone sex line. It was hilarious!
