I like my real name, except when my mother invokes "Nicholas Andrew..." as it normally means I'm in deep shit. Though I prefer the shortened Nick to Nicholas, I've become quite fond of my name. Also, having heard that my parents wanted to name me Dominic, I'm thrilled, as I've never liked that name. They opted instead for Nicholas because of the possibility of me being called "Dumb Dom." When asked if they ever put "Nick the Dick" together, my mother confessed that it had infact slipped their minds.

Damn proud of my last name but the frist name .....ughhhhh....I never went by it I went by my middle name ....see there was a little "Peter" and a big "Peter" in the house. When someone would call we would have to ask that.....Now thats why all my life I went by my middle name and had Peter droped so now I don't have a middle name.......

Yes I like my name but, most people can't spell it, say it, or remember it. So it gets shortened.

I'm like SweetNick when my mom calls me by my whole name. I get the whole fight or flight reflex and have to decide if I want to fight my battle then or later.

I've never liked my name. One, I don't like the way it sounds. Two, it means something stupid. And three, I'm just beginning to find out that it is practically impronounceable to native Spanish speakers. When I tell them my name, they just stare at me in dumbfounded horror and say, "Que?" I may have to change my name to Carmen when I move to Spain for convenience. It's another alias of mine besides Pyper.

My name, Sung Hi, is very common in Korea. Like Mary or whatever. But I am so total not ethnic that maybe I shoulda changed it. Lots of asians born and raised here, like me with my hillbilly accent, use more western names. And that is way cool.

People get it wrong all the time, thinking Hi is my last name, or usually saying Song High instead of making it sound like, Young Hee. But they don't mean bad right? They're juss trying.

Wow, this is long. The obvious western version of my name is Sunny. There are four people in my life who use this name, and it is very meaningful to me. So meaningful that the lover I sleep with now does not call me Sunny. But then the weird thing is, I am a bartender, and I gave up trying to teach boozed up auto workers how to pronounce my name. So they all call me sunny. With a small s.

But if you you know me, and you're not a drunk auto worker, don't call me Sunny. That's not a bad threat, just a request.

at my baptism one of my Mom's friends called me Peter The Rock and it stuck... my nick name out in the world was rock when i was a kid...

OMG!!!!

My name SUCKS!!!! My dad named me after his mother (a woman he claimed to hate) while my mom was passed out from the drugs. I could have had a pretty name like Crystal or Shante but NOOOO...I get this sucky name. He tried to make up for it with my middle name, after my mom's middle name.
My name sucks.

I wouldn't mind my name so much, except I'M THE THIRD GODDAMN PERSON IN MY FAMILY TO HAVE IT!!!!! My grandfather, my father and I all have the same first, middle and (obviously) last names! at least I've got the slightly-too-classy "III" tacked on to it on my birth certificate, but come on! I'm the frickin' Third!

My Grandfather in England (I'm in Australia) wanted me to call my son after my Dad, something my Dad would depise, he thinks one in the family is enough.

I did however pass my Dad's name onto my son as his middle name, and he really suits his first name, it's just so him.

I can only imagine how hard and confusing that may be to you at times Spectre T, but if he's a good man, then I'm sure you feel proud.

Rosebud, you know you just got me then, and I think the same as with Cheyenne, you suit both of your names. There both as sweet as you are.
