Do you have this..

I think so.. It's made out of rice
Oh wrong forum

Looks like cream of rice. We have it anytime, not just Christmas. Do you have the CHristmas Pudding with the Brandy or Custard sauce? It's not in the U.S., but I love it.

oooooh. rice... rice pudding?
How is it made? :rose:

With love!
Really i dont know
Its not exactly rice pudding now, but its close. I think its almost the same ingrediants just made different

No I've tried it though... it was interesting. I think you have to be inbred to appreciate it :p

Darling I really hope that's a sentence that's lost in translation-inbred is not a flattering term...

Starts to think about making a list to ship some Christmas pudding out to the US:D

porridge

Step 1: Make the porridge

Place the saucepan on a high heat. Add the water, rice and cinnamon stick and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat, cover with a lid and allow to simmer for approximately 7 minutes.

Step 2: Add more ingredients and simmer

Add the milk, bring back to the boil and mix in the sugar, diced apple and the raisins. Simmer for approximately 20 minutes.

Step 3: Complete and serve

Take out the the cinnamon stick, stir in the vanilla essence and butter and remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour into individual serving bowls and eat hot for a great start to a winter's day.

WTF? Please tell me you meant something all together different.

Sorry, I mean like a local?

I hoped that was what you meant!

Christmas pudding can be a bit rich and heavy but in small doses and well made it can be really tasty

Today was "stir up Sunday"-apparently it's when you're meant to make your puddings and put them away to mature so they're ready to eat on Christmas Day

I just buy it from Sainsbury's-much easier:D

Puddings work like wine? I'll have to remember that :p

I was watching bbc news today, and they had a segment on christmas puddings. They said if you ate a christmas pudding and you didnt like it, it was probably cause it wasn't made right. Like one xmas pudding to another taste very differently

But you said someone woiuld have to be inbred to appreciate it.

Yeah. Then I remembered that segment I was watching. But before that I thought you had to be british to like it. Like you have to be scottish to like haggis
