No, I don't have anyone like that from Lit. Instead, I have several such friends from my off-line life. I would like to be better friends with several people here, but time constraints and geographic distance make that difficult. When I start working in a few months, I will have even less time. C'est la vie.

I think people understand that - they were just responding by saying that no, they don't have someone like that at Lit - that all of their needs in that dept. are provided by people away from Lit.

There are several people I can call on. Some in real life as well, from lit, but several I have never met.

It's always baffled me that people here bitch about how "Lit's not real", it's not real life (enough) for them. Then whybe here, if you don't feel you can have friends here? If you can't make friends here, then it seems you'd have a harder time making friends in real life.
