I'm not asking to say what grows in it.

But do you have a place in your life which is just for yourself?

I do. Unfortunately, more often than not it's a place where I reap what I've sown, and it's not always the most pleasant place for me to be.

Books

I know you didn't ask for what, but their portability makes the bus or the beach or the bed equally fertile spots for me.

(The asperagus are coming up in the real one I noticed this morning as well.)

I have a water and rock garden that is mine all mine. Of course the cats and the birds and the faeries all hang out there too, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh busty, you're in a distraught state today. I missed the threads and appologise for not giving you the chance to be mean to me, so you could appologise to me too.

I have a secret garden inhabited by an angel. It is a quiet place of refuge

:) I have a vast world inside of my imagination. Sometimes I share it.

I think we've noticed that KM and the venus fly-traps.

At our age kotori, they're usually full of weeds. But not ours. Asparagus - likes salt, I believe.

In the presence of my horses. Nothing else matters then.

Not yet. I am working on it.:)

I have got to quit responding and starting these "serious" threads. Someone asked me the other day if I was ill after he saw my Refuge thread...LOL

JL:kiss:

Btw, freescorfr, do you?:)

It's true Cass, your threads are full of meat.

My garden is wild, I love it. I keep finding corners I'd forgotten about and it's superb for lying in the long grass, like a lion with a lioness, and not been seen.

Yes but i've had a 1 day break due to feeling shattered at the mo.

Sublime wish i had got into them years ago so i could have seen them live. They are perfect to play for whatever mood you in

Only my mind. Everywhere else, other people can get to, but if I lock myself in a room, and just meditate.. no one can reach me (often, I'm oblivious to sounds and things happening around me). My mind can be the beach, a garden, a trail in a forest, anyhthing.. I thank God every day that he blessed me with imagination.

i do have a secret garden...my music

i also have a "secret garden" but that's another story entirely..

Venus fly trap? Uh... oookhay.

In my insipid little world, there's no place to hide and just be. That only exists where things are vivid and alive, somewhere behind me eyes.

I don't know about secret gardens. But, I have a quiet place in my bedroom where I can read and write, enjoy the silence or my choice in music. Only when the little one is away from home or sleeping though.
Hell, anymore my bathtub is my secret garden. A nice hot bubble bath, tons of candles and music and a good book. Again, refer to when home alone or the little one is sleeping.
Have one other so called secret garden, but that doesn't get used often enough.:D

Of course I do! But if I told you, then it would not be a secret any more... and that would be sad.

But I will divulge that it offers comfort, it provides refuge, it allows me to be who I am without hearing any criticisms, and it is safe.

So now all I need is a secret gardener, and then all will be well!

My hammock. Nestled inbetween two trees next to the lake. My front yard. I can go there alone...gaze up at the clouds from under the fanning of the leaves.
