because you just don't know what kind of monster will jump out and bite you on the nose?

*leaving this one shivering in fear for I know not what will be lurking in the shadows when I come back*

I do that all the time on my threads. *JUmping at Shadow*

This may just be a good time to go lay down and finish my Sandra Brown novel...hopefully the monsters won't multipy like fruitflies before I get back!

Cath,

You have problems with some of the conduct on the board? Fine.

...BUt dont be so damn passive-agressive about it. If you invite ridicule it will find you, dont be surprised when it does.

This whole current battle is over my head(thankfully), but you seem to perpetuate it with your threads. A different tact may prove beneficial if you truly want to be left alone, but your actions suggest this is not what you want.

A book is a good idea, there is no rule that everything has to be worked out here at Lit in real time.

If the monsters are no bigger than fruit flies you have no problem.

Amen.

Is it not possible to be who you want to be without it being up for debate?

YES. Just don't bitch about it when people choose not to like you, or choose to tell you that they think you're an idiot.

Don't use the "it's just the way I am, so deal with it" line. It's bullshit and everyone knows it. Be who you are, that's fine and dandy. But there are consequences for all of us, and the true measure of grace is how we deal with them, and what we learn.

let's test your theory...

Very good. See, you feel better, and you haven't succeeded in hurting me. Now everyone's happy.

Modest mouse is right. So are others who have dared :)rolleyes:) to criticize you. You protest that you are innocent, that you are being trolled unfairly, that you just want to be left alone, yet you incessantly post for attention, practically scream out "look at me, aren't I so wonderful, great, and kind", and continously set yourself up for the very trolling you claim you despise. One would think that you would have attributed specific behaviors to specific reactions and would therefore avoid those behaviors in the future. But not Cath, no she just goes on her merry way, setting herself up over and over. Only to be trolled, flamed, and criticized.

So, the only conclusion that I, myself can draw from this whole cycle is that you must get some kind of enjoyment out of being the victim.

Cath, attention junkie.

Cath

Never be afraid to open a thread. Some people may not like you, some may disagree vehemently with what you say and how you act.

But all, I hope, will defend to the hilt your right to be here and to speak your mind.

We may all argue, from time to time, but that reflects R/L. The girls may bitch, the guys will roar indignantly but at the end of the day you have the right to say what you please. It is, after all, written in your constitution.

<insert evill maniacal laugh here>

finally, someone uncovered my devilish plot!! It has only taken you a year to figure this out! now who feels like the idiot?

:p

I've had you pegged for a long time. Bless your heart.
But if you paid attention to anyone other than yourself and your potential cyber lovers, you might have figured out that there are some people who don't feel the need to constantly post and seek the spotlight.

And I feel you need a double dose of this. Bless your heart.

It’s all part of putting yourself out here.

Otherwise you aren’t truly interacting with others.
Which just comes across as talking to hear yourself
And others that think like you.

If both characters are the same..
One is obsolete.

Oooh, I can't stand those veiled insults. They're like nails on a chalkboard.
It reminds me of that mini-van commercial.

Suburban mom 1-Oh, new van huh?
Sub. mom2- Yeah, got it for 10,000
Mom 1-Bet it doesn't come with a 5 year warranty...
Mom 2-No, 10 years.
Mom 1-

I'd rather see the fighting. I don't know why, it just rubs me the wrong way......

if i ever get to the point where fear motivates what threads i click on, i hope i have the good sense to take a break from lit until i get a handle on things. it's the internet people! everyone needs a couple prozac to smooth off the rough edges.

ANYway...

Hey Cath

Remember one thing...it's only words. Ain't nothin here that can do any harm in the real world. Sometimes this place is interesting and sometimes it boring. I always find someones comments here to laugh my ass off at because after all this is a porn BB.

I'll say publicly that you can at anytime PM me if you want to. You have been nice to me as a new member. Don't make this place more than it is. It's someplace to come when you have time to kill and want to entertain yourself. Nothing more or less.

:D
