As a 'rebel without a clue', I use to swear vociferously as a teenager. Well, except around my teachers at school... I was too proud of my "other" vocabulary not to show it off a little...

I grew out of it, mainly because of something my Mom said once about the subject of expletives. She said that those are words to be used when the situation really calls for it. If you say "shit" when you're running a little late for work, what's left to say when you're about to hit a Mack truck going 70 mph due to a sloppy driving maneuver executed while racing to said job?

I can think of a few things, but I'll save the big ones for when I really need them

yep, all the time, but I have a tendency mostly around kids, to say a Guatemalan slang word.. "Puchica". It means just about any cuss word you can think of.

I use cursing to make my point. It can be used to confirm a threat to an aggressor, or lustfully to a mate.
It's all a form of communication.

I rarely curse. As with many of the women who responded to this thread, the word "fuck" is a part of my vocabulary during certain activities. But only if those activities are done correctly.

I cuss when I'm having really awesome sex. Cussing outside of that, and I mean REALLY cussing, reminds me of when the wonderful men in my life would get angry, just before the hand would fly, so although it doesn't freak me out completely, it does send that surge of fear through me. Wow! I'm just giving it all up tonight!
