I was just curious.

My co-worker has been going on a lot lately about how his house is haunted and that he's been seeing ghosts.

Firmly.

I"ve lived in two haunted houses.

Shrugs
Dont bother them, they wont bother you! ;)

:p:p:p:p:p

Good morning Jade. Yep, I sure do believe in ghosts. My apartment is haunted, in fact. I see odd things frequently. And the ghost sometimes touches me. No big deal, but I hope the next place I live in is not like that.

Jade, I was a confirmed non-believer in ghost, until about 2 years ago. I bought a house, got a real deal on it because a tenant of the previous owner shot himself in the house. First time we looked at it, a piece of carpet was missing where he had died.

Anyway, my wife and step-daughter kept saying they heard and saw funny things and I laughed at them. One night I was really into a good book so my wife went to bed, leaving only me up in the house. About 2 oclock in the morning, I heard a music box begin to play. It played about two minutes and then quit. We do not own a music box, the TV and Radio were both off and some friends of the former tenant told us later, his girlfriend collected them and he had made one for her.

I'm still a skeptic but I do have some leaning toward believing in ghost now.

Kentucky is one of the most haunted states.

Grins proudly

Georgia isnt that far off.....

yes sure do believe in ghosts.

And for some reason they wanna bother me, more than anyone else I know.

You'll get used to it after a while though

LOL! I swear this story I'm going to tell you is true..till this day my mom and I have laughed about it. We lived in Marietta not far from Atlanta Georgia a few years ago, and my StepFather was on a job site in Florida so it was just me and her alone that weekend. anyways, I was in my room listening to music and writing, my mother was in the living room watching TV. MY bed room had two doors, one that went to the Living room, and the other went to another bedroom which in return connected to the laundry room, then the kitchen. The kitchen of course then entered into the Living, kinda like one big circle.
Anyways my mom is sitting there and she heres the fridge open and someone start to make a sandwhich. About 5 minutes later I came out of my bedroom, she asked me what kind of sandwhich I made...I said I didnt!
WE went in the kitchen, there was sandwhich bread and so on laid out on the counter, mircle whip knife all that. None of us made a sandwhich or got the stuff out!
We had two dogs, one a tiny scot and a huge, I mean huge ass mean chow! Scot barked at the slightest noise and the Chow was in the back yard guarding the back door, which was locked. No one could have came in and made a sandwhich.

Grins That has to be the most funny story about one of the houses we lived in. And its true. :p

I have had too many experiences not to believe that there are things out there that we are at a loss to explain. Call them what you will but I do believe that something exists that we call ghosts, spirits, the supernatural.

I don't believe in ghosts, because I don't believe in life after death, but something really weird happened to me when my family was on vacation in Washington.

We were driving through the forest near Mt. St. Helens. I was in the passenger seat, just watching the scenery, when I thought I saw a man right in front of our car about to step onto the road. It was just a flash, out of the corner of my eye, but enough to make me turn around and look back as we drove past. There was nothing there.

I almost dismissed it, but something made me tell my mom about it while we were waiting for our food at a restaurant about an hour later. She said, "I saw him, too!" and went on to describe the same man I had seen. Black hair, wearing a blue shirt and brown pants, and slightly hunched over. She had the impression that he was hunched because he was old, but I thought he was hunched because he had a large pack on his back.

I still don't believe in ghosts, but that was really weird.

Believing in ghosts

I totally believe in ghosts and had my experiance. I even got it professionally tested and everything in the USA.

My experiance was with my beloved friend, the PC. One day I switched it on, and you know the funny sounds it plays when u start up? Well mine was a little different. It was the voice of a small girl explaining her friends death as she watched her die. Quick nasty. It did save itself as a Wav. file I think, so I could play it over. Totally freaked I decided to research into it a bit and found out about some researchers in the USA. They have a website: http://ghostwave.com They specialise in EVP. This is Electronic Voice Phenonema - where ghosts/spirits speak to humans. They did all sorts, they slowed it down, speeded it up, all the tech stuff. They told me it was totally genuine, as the voice had such a low frequency that it was impossible to be human. Lots happened, don't have time to say. Things like my lights went off a few times when playing it and my text would merge together, and I was extremely paranoid, really scary. I bought a crucifix necklace and casted my own exorcism if u want to call it that. I simply said:

"By the power of Jesus Christ, you are not welcome here, please leave"

After that, everything was fine!!

Ghosts totally exist, they're the souls of people trapped between heaven and hell. God wasn't ready for them to come to heaven, they must have died through murder or accident so they are stuck for a while and try to interfere with life on earth, either to help us, or annoy us such a poltegeists

ack got chills when you said that...yep he was real enough..

Mistress, I'm a die hard skeptic to the end. I saw him, and I still don't believe he was real.

WEll I'm sure he was real and the reason he was haunched over is because he wasnt looking where in the hell he was going and got smacked by a car that killed him.

Yes, and the polite invoking of the name of Christ cleaned the problem right up. If I ever come back as a ghost, I'm gonna wait until somebody invokes the name of, oh I dunno, Anubis. That'll confuse'em!

All kidding aside, I think if supernatural forces existed, we'd all see evidence of them every day. Why should these spirits isolate themselves in "haunted houses"? Why wouldn't they be roaming everywhere?

They are. Not everyone is sensitive to them though. A lot of cats are. Go rent the movie The Exorcist if you have a cat. Nasty things will stop by to watch. See if you cat doesn't get weirded out.

Thanks to all of you as always for your deliciously intriguing, beguiling insight, opinions, deep-seeded beliefs and encounter tales.

To all who haven't read it yet... go back and read... it's a jolly good time! ;)
