The 'not so nice' ones are usually rather graphic and from people that I don't even know.

I try to answer most PMs. I'm not so bad at that but poor at noticing them - the new PM alert hasn't always worked and there has been the odd PM sitting in my in box for three or four weeks before being noticed.

I read them all and make a choice. Some don't need a reply and some I might just consider as 'Junk Mail' so I won't bother with those either.
