Just wondering.

I got thinking about people who do that and think y'all need to stand up and take a bow while everyone should be clapping.

It takes very special and dedicated people to commit them selves to that career field.

Sending out a big thanks to those in the mental health field

I'd like to thank my shrink for the massive amounts of zoloft, celexa, wellbutrin, ambien, trazadone and childrens vitamins I get.

Heavy Stick, don't forget the Paxil. :D

Ditto, mental health is only meant for those with immeasurable patience.

I don't have Paxil.

I gotta think of another disorder to get that one....

Thanks, Todd

I'm in my first year of psychiatry residency and you're right, it takes a lot of dedication and takes a toll on your own mental health. Sometimes I think my patients' illnesses are contagious. ;)

But I consider it extremely important and rewarding work. It's wonderful when you see people get better and start to lead productive lives. Every once in awhile I wonder to myself how I got so lucky to be able to be invited into so many people's inner minds on a daily basis. The things you hear are amazing. As taxing as it is, it's certainly never boring.

A round of applause to those who make us feel less crazy, if only for a moment.

I appreciate the applause and you are very welcome.

How do you know he was talking about you?

The people around here talk in codes and stuff. To make sure I get all the hidden messages I've come to assume everyone is refering to me.

Hey!

I suddenly feel much better about taking Effexor and Wellbutrin at the same time.

i'm a school psychologist intern..... just learning the ropes, still full of that starry-eyed optimism......

Effexor just made me yawn.......trazadone makes me weak in the knees...... but shit man, what i would do for a lifetime supply of ambien.........

 K

Hooray! Recognition at last! I'm a psych RN, or was until I went totally bonkers about two years ago.
To be honest neither side of the service is too much fun, but the pay is a little bit better for nurses.
I take depakote now, a mood stabiliser, no side-effects that I've noticed except a little tiredness but that just might be me being a lazy slug... Any excuse!
I just wish I could go back to work, although I'm a bit scared that the stress, sorry I meant STRESS could send me back to bat with the other team again.

You might image people who are dealing with the mentally ill everyday of their working lives might have dealt with me with some sensitivity and trust, but they kicked me out so fast and far that I can't see how I'll ever get back. Bastards.
