I was just wondering what all of you perfer to drink when you go out socializing?

In my military years I prefered mix drinks, my college years was full of everything, now I like beer particularly, Bud Light. I still like my mixed drinks too ( Cape Cod - Absolute and Cranberry.

I wish I could go out more, but living the family life you tend to eliminate Bars.

Plus, my fiance' doesn't like it when I drink he says I'm to flirty.

I am can't deny that one.

Plus, what kind of dirnks do you like? Where, When, and What type of social event do drinks go with.

Unfortunately im a poor college student so most of my drinking nights have been spent with a can of cheap skanky beer.

on those rare occasions when i could have a mixed drink i am very partial to absolut and oj
smile.gif
yummy...or gin and tonic...or amaretto sour...basically just give me anything that tastes good and ill be happy
smile.gif

but i get all touchy feely when i get drunk so ive got to be careful...

I'm not overly fond of the taste of alcohol, but there are a few drinks that I enjoy. Champagne on New Years (have to limit my intake of champagne...I tend to get a little crazy on that stuff), occasionally a glass of Merlin, I mean Merlot with dinner...and if I'm going out w/friends, it's usually an amaretto sour.

I'll have merlin for dinner too.... damn

Beer I'm very picky with

Wine: only Red

Mixed: Bugger that it can be drunk straight you know.... nice fire in the belly

No beer. Dinner or a hot bubble bath, white zin, preferably Columbia Reserve Riesling but if money's tight I'll stick to E & J Gallo or Beringer. I absolutely draw the line at anything with a twist off. Going out & shooting pool, give me Wild Turkey, straight up. I agree with da Chef, it's better straight. Boyfriend has a thing for Fuzzy Navels. Guess I'd better stop shaving mine.

well when I do go out it is usually to a local bar to play either at an open mic nightor when some freinds are in town playing, and they let me on stage to play a couple of songs. And as far as what I drink, I keep it simple: Water or Pop, no alcohol. I made that choice a long time ago and yes there is a long story behind it too. But yes I am a child of an alcaholic and that is the main reason why I don't drink. But hey I'm not a party pooper tho, I'm the self appointed Designated Driver. Any one who asks for a ride can get one from me.

Don't drink often, but when I do... I like all wines, but if I had my druthers I prefer white (though I know the red ones are better for you). As far as beer goes, Heineken or Sam Adams original are my pics, but I also like Harps. For mixed drinks, I enjoy cosmopolitans (yum!) or margaritas (not the fruity kinds, and on the rocks - not blended). When in a drinking mood (usually in a party-type situation), I usually go for beer. I like mixed drinks a lot, but they knock me on my ass too fast. And wine & champagne sometimes give me a headache.

Right on, nobody... If I'm not drinking that night, we can hang out & be sober together...
smile.gif

If I'm drinking wine, it's gotta be a sweet Riesling, preferably from Germany. I only drink that at home, though. When I go out, which is never since I moved here,

I drink either a strawberry margarita, or this drink which I forgot the name of.
redface.gif
A friend of mine introduced it to me, but I have since forgotten what it's called and what it's made of. And I don't have her address anymore.

I do know that it has Absolut Vodka in it, and it's sweet. Sorry about the long post.
Ooh! I remembered what it was called. Jolly Rancher. That's what I was told, anyway.

Let's see...I could tell stories about....

my "Jim Beam days"....or,

"the semester I drank a fifth and a half of vodka every night".....or,

"the Blatz Tower"....or,

"the Quarter Challenge"....or,

"the proper way to make Frog Water (aka, "why kiwis are the secret to a good grain punch")....or,

"the night I drank 20 shots of tequila in 30 minutes after having 20+ beers at a happy hour and then blacked out for 14 hrs, but, apparently, still went out"....or,

"the proper way to sneak cheap beer across the Canadian border"....or,

"when going to an outdoor concert, you should have one 1/2 Keg for every two people"....or,

"I'M DRUNK...I'LL DRIVE!"....or,

Oh, Jeez, I dunno. The really good stories are the ones I can't remember.

I've had a case and a half of IC Light in my fridge since the Super Bowl. I actually drank one during the hockey game last week (btw, fucking shame that hockey season is over already). My wife will force the occasional glass of wine on me. And I still have a really soft spot for Jaegermeister...some things never change.

Mmm, I love a good red wine, nicely aging. One of my favourite things to do is to go this little crummy jazz bar (small and dingy with a fire place)its a very short walk from my house. Sometimes I go with my girlfriend, and we'll order a bottle, listen to the jazz and play a game of back gammon or scrabble or smoething. I love that.

Sign me up on the designated driver list. Diet coke, iced tea (no lemon), and water are about the only things I drink. No story behind it other than I've never liked beer or wine and while there are mixed drinks that I like, I still prefer the above mentioned drinks.

slut_boy, what are you doing up so late? early? wherever you are....

I was hoping to see another little white panties post like LL gave us last week....Ah, well, I can always go back and read the old post..I think her post should be nominated for a "Literotica Emmy".....

I also like the jazz..but, we have a great little blues club here, that the GF and I go to ocassionally that is great, also....

Let's see. I have a weakness for red wine. Preferable a nice Rioja or a good Chinati.
I only drink white wine when I'm out having a nice seafood dinner.
Beer's good too. But I don't drink much of that anymore. When I do it's usually a Tuborg Classic, Carlsberg, and if I can get my hands on it. Bud.
I don't fancy mixed drinks that much. They tend to make my stomach go...........I'll spare you the details.
Drink wise I like Jack D. And Cap. Morgan spiced rum, straight up.
This is my favorites.

Yes, Yes and Yes..........I have a Rolling Rock everyday after work....yes A (one) Rolling Rock . The best wine would have to cabranet (no sure of the spelling ) Dark red and dry. The best mixed drink would have to be Absolut and orange juice.
I suppose that makes me the DD Designated drunk

I'll just sit over here at the designated driver's table with Sonora and share an iced tea. Or maybe have a Coca Cola Classic (tm).

I'll just have to curb the urge to drag my toes off the wagon and have just one Kilian's Red, Henry Rheinhart's Private Reserve Dark or some other fine dark beer.

Since I'm a Reformed Lush, I don't have more than one or two when I do drag my toes off the wagon. It's usually a really good dark beer like an English Bitter that causes me to stray. The days when I considered a double scotch to be two quarts and a 'couple of beers' to be two cases of whatever was cheap are long gone.

Actually, Merlin, I was referring to the Champagne...just a little gets me crazy. Ya' see, your mere presence is enough to get me crazy! I simly cannot imagine what MORE of you would do to me! Perhaps we will just have to find out! <grin>

Whoops...was that supposed to be a secret? Oh well, I let you and Wizard watch while LL took my virginity...guess that leaves little left for secrets, huh?

Now what was it you said about a little Angelique making you hard? Oh, oh...my error, that was vodka!

Chef is welcome to join...we can change chefs name to Ohio_Chef for now, but will have to change it again to Nevada_Chef in a few months. Relocating across the country...tell me how much fun THAT will be, a single mom with TWO kids, moving from OH to NV! <cringe>

My, my how bad we are!! Starting so early in the day..AT least here on the west coast...

Ah, Nevada.....An interesting state...I've visited often, and always lived in an adjacent state but never lived there.....Although I do love the dry heat in Reno....

Your such a tease, you are
biggrin.gif

Moi? A tease? Not me! <looking around>

Reno...yes, that's where I'm headed...and cannot wait!!! Now if you were looking to a little wetness in Reno, darling...then we'd be in business. But since you like it dry in Reno, I guess I'll just have to tease from afar. <moping around 'cause MM won't visit.
frown.gif
>

Oh yes...and just a little fyi Merlin...I love mornings...nothing like starting the day aroused!
