I've heard this too, and it seems that only if you're stretching them out. Skin is stretchy (thank god) so if you pull you will stretch it out. But the clamp in itself? I don't think so.

You can get special nipple stretchers that insert into pierced nipples, but I have not heard that clamps make nipples bigger, skin is quite supple so unless your wearing them with heavy weights for long periods of time you should be ok.
