Or make those kissy sounds when a girl walks by? Do they honk? Do they "Oh Baby!" &/or crotchgrab?

When's the last time you were ogled like that?

Some of our local 'Youff' still do.

They are regarded as ignorant hicks and get beaten up by their girlfriends.

Last Thursday ... and apparently, per this extra special admirer, I have a "sweet ass."

its funny that you should mention that.
i do that to my friends, i think, as a take off on 'construction' guys who do that in the city.
"yo baby!" cat calls...such like that.
know what? i never minded much, having those cat calls. its almost like a compliment in a way...or not...ok..nevermind.

I still get it from time to time as well. The last time was probably at the end of last summer. It's hard to catcall someone in a parka. Hopefully as the weather warms, it'll happen again...

Not worth the possible sexual harrassment lawsuit.

That's why I asked. I was wondering what the State of the Art is, whether SH lawsuits have stopped or dampened the enthusiasm.

Not to strangers or women I don't know well.

But if I see a woman I know well and she's dressed for a night out, or even looking good in her jeans and t-shirt, I'll make a show of the wolf whistle or more often than not, "Woobba-Woobba!"

I always envied what some of those characters in Tex Avery cartoons could do.

By my husband, certainly!

(Nahhh, I know that doesn't count.)

If I'm working in the front yard I will get an occasional car horn by visitors to our neighborhood. We know most of the people around us and neighbors wouldn't do that. They'd consider it rude.

If I've dressed to attract my husband's attention and we're out for drinks I do notice a bit of ogling. But it's quite subtle, no overt gestures or noises. I suppose I look pretty attached.

As a NYC construction worker I can assure you that, at least in the jurisdiction of my local, yes-they do still whistle and all the rest of it.

I recently taught my four year old nephew to ogle women. He was staring at all these pretty girls and I told him that when one walked by he should say, "Hubba Hubba!" Now he does it ALL the time! Since he's a cute little four year old boy they smile and think it's cute. Eventually he start getting slapped for it, I would imagine. But that's not my problem. :)

wolf whistle

A while ago, I was working outside the building where I worked and, apparently in a good mood, I was whistling a bit. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a lovely young lady descending the outside staircase of a nearby building. She had turned her head slightly and was smiling and I realized that she thought I was whistling at her. I was slightly abashed as I'm not usually that obtrusive, but she gave me the warmest smile and walked on, her ass swaying, perhaps not accidently in the most delightful way. It was a most sublime and serendipitous moment.

I was pleased as punch last week when I got wolf whistled! It set me blushing and made me smile for ages!

It's the leash. It's kind of a giveaway. ;)

Boota, you're an evil, corrupting influence on our young. Good work.

LadyJ, who ever it was has impeccable taste.

Crim, I'm ogling your picture even as we speak.

Feels good, doesn't it? Now, if it goes on and on and on, it could get embarrassing ... but in a good way. In a dark alley, it could get scary ... but I stay out of dark alleys unless I want to be accosted. ;)

I got more whistles when I was 13-14 than I have all the years since added together. Pretty disturbing when I think about it.

What I've experienced mostly is being yelled at from passing cars, "Hey, Baby!" being the most frequent such utterance.

The last time it happened was over spring break when I walked the three houses to check on a neighbor's dog in my housecoat and jammies. Judging from the expression of the twentyish passenger when he looked back, I think he might have been expecting someone a little younger. Or maybe just someone who wasn't smiling :)

Take Care,
Penny

I don't have to think about that much before it's plenty disturbing, enough that I asked my sixteen year old daughter and, yeah, she and her friends get whistles and calls from passing cars all the time. Though she says it's from boys her own age, which makes it far less odious in my opinion. I don't recall anything like that from my childhood. Maybe I've led a sheltered life.

Imp...yeah, if i was on my own at night maybe it'd be far more disturbing..but I tend not to be anywhere on my own late at night *L*
