Do condoms make a man last longer?

I've always wondering if men last longer when they are wearing a condom. I mean...does it somehow desensitise the penis so it takes more, rubbing, friction, whatever before they cum. And, do any guys prefer the feel of a condom when having sex, than not having a condom on?

ewww condoms are icky!! Its a good thing i dont sleep around because i hate condoms!! But of course when i do have a one night stand or sex with a person with a questionable past i always use a condom!!

*laughs* I don't like them either, but do use them when the situation arises, dont want to catch HIV or anything..did you know that chlamydia is the most common STD in developed countries! eek!

Yes it does desensitize them somewhat, at least that's according to my husband. No, I don't think any man will say they prefer to wear a condom. But I do have to admit it is nice how much longer sex can go with a condom, in my case it's the difference between one orgasm and two.

Yes condoms do make a man last longer but they still feel shit.

Ditto to OUTSIDER. I agree

But this is my theory on the phenomenon...Ok so when there is no condom a man's penis comes into full contact with this silky, warm, juicy, wet and getting wetter pussy. On the other hand with a condom... sure it's warm and wet! but there's no silky, juicy pussy to make that cock glisten! There is this thin yet "oh too thick" piece of latex thats got some slight lube on it blocking those sensations so it takes a little more (time/friction/ect.) to make him cum. Am I at all right?

Yep, it desensitizes the penis and makes a man take longer to cum. Of course, this could be a good thing if extending the act of sex enhances her pleasure. I would definitely prefer a nice warm, moist pussy any day, but better safe than sorry if you're not in a commited relationship.

A little off topic: has anyone tried these? They promise to enhance the man's pleasure, but they sure look funny! Was thinking of trying them...

MistressSin,,, you are spot on with your 'understanding'

For me wearing a condom is like having my penis removed from the action a bit. Yes, it's still attached to me and slipping and sliding in her,,, but the wonderful sensations are lessened quite a bit,,, and I found that sex became somewhat mechanical feeling. I also have found that time to cum is increased somewhat.

Like them ? Hell no!!

Understand the necessity ? Yes, damnit !!

Like them just because I understand ? Nope, not even a little bit.

Willing to be safe and not sorry? Bet-cha ass I am.

Honey...yes condoms do reduce the sensation and you last longer...however in terms of satisfaction the trade off isn't there...I would much rather be condomless. I think most women would feel the same way.

One partner I had some time ago actually liked me to start out wearing a condom and then had some fun removing it...I leave the rest to your imagination.

However, I agree with the other comments, if you don't know your partner better to have the protection than not.

Pros of condoms, according to me, a woman:
-Safety (from disease for single people) (from pregnancy for people like me, finished with having kids, but not wanting to go back on the pill)
-Easy clean-up. That means no wet spot. No leaky pussy.
-Longer duration of intercourse, but just a little, as far as I can tell.

Cons of condoms:
-After the sucker comes off, there will be no more head from me. That latex smell is really revolting. Plus, you know that dust stuff that is on the outside of latex gloves? Is that stuff on the inside of condoms? If so...EWWW!
-My pussy smells a little weird for about a day afterward.
-Extra expense. Wish hubby would go for the Birth Control Snip instead.
-Sometimes I'm impatient, and I don't like waiting for him to have to put it on. My husband is a particular (okay, ANAL) guy , and he has this ritual he has to go through when he puts one on.

Polished Knob> Went to that site you had there, are these condoms supposed to give pleasure to the man or woman? This is what they say (for those who haven't been to the site)

The Pleasure Plus features a roomy pouch with fine, internal ribs. During sex, the pouch moves back and forth, gently stimulating both partners. The pouch's action restores the sensational feeling of sex without a condom

If this is only for the woman, then are there condoms out there to provide pleasure for men...cause I know of heaps for women.

(OK...just went back...it is the condom which provides pleasure for the man)

Yes, as you figured out, the pouch is supposed to stimulate the underside of the penis. What I want to know is, does it really work? I guess I'll have to take matters into my own hands and do some research...

Mistress sin you are spot on as ever.

I hate condoms because I already take a long time to cum and the added lack of "feel" only makes this worse and I'v often ended not coming at all ( very frustrating for chap ).

Obviously this is a question that needs to be answered by the men... but, I'm gonna put my female 2 cents worth in anyway :)

Although I understand the necessity for condoms in a lot of peoples situations, I just think they're horrid things. It's a quality over quantity thing for me. The few extra minutes a condom adds to the mans performance doesn't even come close to comparing to the wonderful sensations felt when going at it bareback.

I can't remember the guys name who posted about his girlfriend liking him to start out with a condom on then remove it later. But, I can understand where she's coming (no pun intended) from. I've been in a situation where my partner has started wearing one and removed it during the act... wow, the difference was amazing.

So, I'm pretty convinced that if the difference in sensation is that paramount to me, it must be every bit as much (and probably much more) for him.

THIS COULD BE A PUBLIC SERVICE AD FOR CONDOMS

"With the kind of LIFESTYLE that I live, I prefer to use my TROJANS because they make me feel SHIECK. Now I can love my woman with MAGNUM force."

Now for the thread, I find that I last a little longer when I use condoms.

Condoms are the pits, I never wear them simply because I can't feel a god-damn thing while doing so. Although I have had a vasectomy, so protecting from giving someone a child isn't an issue with me. If however, my partner wanted me to wear one because of things like HIV, then I would do so.

Carl.

options...?

Perhaps this is a good thread to inquire about something...

If the pill is out of the question, and condoms are too (for whatever reason)...what options do you have least to protect from pregnancy? (I'm not worried about std's in this case)

Are spermacides that reliable?

A good thing to know for anyone using condoms to stop premature ejaculation is to masturbate until you are about to cum then stop for a moment until the feeling subsices then reapeat a few more times, do this a couple of times a week and the problem should go away.
this works and saved a good frieds marriage not long ago also if your lover is doing the masterbating for you it's fun to.
Treatment never felt so good.

Seems to be my advice for the day- start another thread for a new topic and you'll get more responses.

As for your question, do the research on the Net. Search on birth control and you'll find a number of sites that give you details on theoretical and in practice failure rates for the different types of bc available today. Planned Parenthood had good information, if I remember correctly.

And no, spermacides aren't reliable enough in my book.

I'v often found that women who don't like performing oral sex will do so if I'm wearing a condom, when asked why, they often say that once the problem of having someone cum in their mouth is removed they don't see any problem, also you can now get good qaulity flavoured condom's.

Oh and one woman said she wasn't sucking cock anymore she was just sucking a bit of rubber...A BIT OF RUBBER my poor old cock has never been so insulted.

I wear 2 condoms 24 hours a day. then when I'm ready to have sex, I take one off and feel like a wild man

I am not a fan of wearing condoms although I realize there utility in some case and the necessity of them in others.

However, I love it when a woman puts it on for me.... and the feel of it going on isn't half bad either.
