Do cats dream???

Greetings....

I know this isn’t a big problem but I have always owned dogs and have watched them sleep and dream, eye movements, paws twitching as if running, whimpering and shallow barking etc. But I have never owned a cat so I just wanted to know if you have a cat or cats do you see signs that they dream also. I know this is a first world problem but I’ve always wondered about this.

Maybe not dream in the way we do, but most certainly cats dream.

I wouldn't be surprised if most, if not all, mammals dream. Probably throw in octopi, cuttlefish, and nautilus as well.

My cats dream just like the dog.

Foot twitches....rawrz....ear tucking...tail twitching.

One even snores, but she's very sensitive so we don't talk about her doing it.

I'm certain my cat does. I saw her dreaming last night. So cute.

My cats dream. Sometimes they talk in their sleep; different little sounds mean different things, but the most common sound is a chirping noise that means they’ve caught some prey.

One of my cats also has a recurring nightmare in which, I believe, she is being chased. She howls during it; if you wake her, she’ll attack, run quickly away and hide.

This was so interesting to me how many folks have noticed that their cats go through the same range of movements that dogs seem to do.

We have three cats at home and i feel weird smells here and there from time to time. Not sure really what is that exactly.
