Do BDSM castles really exist?

Castles undoubtedly play a huge role in BDSM and erotica in general... the castle of Marquis de Sade, in History of O, Eyes wide Shut etc...

I am pretty sure these kind of castles exist in real life, but I never heard of one... of course the whole idea that they are very secret and incrowd is one of the charms, but I would like to know if anybody ever heard of - or visited - a castle like this?

I'd like to hear some information/experiences on this subject...

Thanks, Bikewer, this one seems genuine... (and thanks C for the bump :rose:)

But I am suprised by the lack of information on the subject... I spend half a day surfing and didn;t found any castle like this... could it really be that no-one has brought this classic erotic fantasy to reality...?

LOL, well we have both separately before meeting, and together these days, held a fantasy of creating a BDSM type resort to end all resorts. Closest I have come to your idea of a castle though are a cottage or two in the UK set up for the purpose, and a couple of places in the US also complete with dungeon etc. So do you have an old castle or two on your hands we could help you convert?!! Maybe some of the Dutch forts would be ideal...come to think of it, there are enough castles here not in use to allocate to our use....one close to us here in fact which people just get to walk around and admire the moat.

He he, why don;t you start shopping for furniture while I check if one of the queen's palaces just happens to be vacant... :D

One has to wonder about the liability insurance, and then there's OSHA....

"Mistress Dominique, this suspension harness does not conform to Federal Regulation 103.020 subparagraph "b", which states that natural leather cannot be used as some people are allergic to the dyes. And look at these chains...Shocking! Can't you people afford some brillo pads?"

Start saving now, and I'll give you a cut rate on architectural services to design it to your specs in about 5 years ;) and if you build it outside of the US, no need to worry about OSHA ;)

Supposedly, the Other World Kingdom, in Czechoslovakia, is a real, commercial establishment, where primarily male subs pay for up to week-long stays.

Oh wow! I'd seen the OWK site before but never from the front. (Mostly just their slave register thingy.)

Entry to this page is forbidden to:
  • minors
  • accidental curious surfers
  • dominant male creatures

Good grief, no male doms allowed?! How silly.

I do note that they don't say female subs are disallowed. I'd thought the OWK was mostly FemDom/malesub, but it seems they may in fact have some female subs owned by female doms. I guess that means I can click to enter...

...itch? He he, friend of yours? And she seems such a friendly lady...:D
Are we talking about Domina Zara here? What cracked me up about her was the use of ® all over the place. I bet none of it's actually registered. :p

OWK

...Aren't femsupremacists just goofy sometimes? Makes me feel all high school to see that.

However, I do like their interviews!

I have met her once or twice.
She thinks she is the queen of the world, which is ok since I am the emperor of Barcelona and emperors rule king and queens.
But she also has a very one sided view of the world and she snubs her nose up towards the rest of us.

But in any case she can be quite cruel and sadistic so that is a point in her favour.

You're correct. She has not registered her name "Domina Zara" as a trademark with the USPTO, however, she might have registered it with an international trademark office (Spain, France, OHIM) and that might account for the placement of the &reg. Whatever the case, her aggressive use of the &reg does come across as overkill.

As an interesting aside, there is a trademark application for BDSM UNIVERSITY which is seeking trademark registration for "Downloadable video recordings featuring informative, educational material intended for use by adults who are interested in sexual Bondage and Discipline, Dominant/submissive relationships and Sado-Masochism (known collectively by the acronym "BDSM") including commonly accepted practices and techniques applicable to BDSM." Apparently, it is on it's way toward registration with no opposition by the USPTO.

Oooh, I rather like the one in Colorado - and it's only $4.25 million!
I am certain that we could all come up with sufficient funds and buy a castle somewhere collectively. I mean: isn't play more merry, the more we are?
But we muct be careful. It's one thing to expect people to tolerate our sexual perversities, it's quite another to engage in collective ownership of resources. That's where most right thinking people must draw the line.

Someone could always purchase a charming little castle and open a quaint little Bed & Breakfast. BSDM-themed, of course.

I like the one in West Virginia for a home but the one in South Africa would make a nice vacation.
