Do any authors here who post their stories on Literotica use the site as a means to sell their whole books? If so, how much success are they having?

I'm not sure how you would isolate sales to have links to it on Lit. Unless you were the only distributor and didn't advertise anywhere else.

I've had very little sell-through to people who have read my work on Lit, as far as I know.... As SR pointed out, it is awful hard to measure.

But there has never been a measurable bump in my sales from posting about a release here. A long time ago, I even tried to start a "support thread" where I would buy a fellow AH'ers book and ask them to do the same with either one of mine or another authors. The thread died a quick death.

Lit is a good place to hone your craft. It is not a good place to advertise - at least, not in the forums, IMHO.

I post stories on here and then send them to my publishers. I had one book that sold really well. It was also one that got me tons of comments and email through here. When I took it off my story page, I got a lot of emails asking where it went to. So yeah, advertising through Lit has helped with my book sales.

I started posting on Lit as a way of advertising but I don't think it has done much good. Since then I've written short stories just for Lit (although some day I may bundle them up into a collection). And, of course, there is the joy of taking position that piss off both Stella and Ami. It's lonely work here being a liberal Christian, but somebody has got to do it.

Still, hope springs eternal, and as you can see I'm still trying to sell stuff here. Or, maybe someone would take a listen to my music? Please?
