those who spend years using one quite different from their own for a character, or use multiple accents from all different countries... is their native accent ever as original or do the opposing accents temper that?
i'm no actor; my own english accent still sounds very english (or irish/australian to some) to Americans i know but can also tell there are subtle changes a native Londoner would pick up on.
so what starts as a plus–an affinity for different 'voices' as an actor, does that become a negative? does the actor ever lose their core sense of self?
