A film with good scenes and some stand-out performances. But not cohesive enough from beginning to end.

Half the theater I went to was full of white people, and a LOT of gray haired ones. At first I thought they were coming in search of a remake of the old D'Jango (the FIRST one) spaghetti western and they were in for a surprise. They all clapped at various points throughout the movie, starting when the first slavers got shot.

My only explanation for that is... it's California. Betcha it wasn't like that in theaters in Texas...
