The commenter is describing a fantasy, same as Boxlicker did in his story. I used to get "Oh, I'm the same way with my sister." But these people aren't really thinking about their sisters and daughters, they're thinking about a fictional sister and daughter, same as how boxlicker's creating fictional characters to play out a fantasy. The only real problem is this guy could really be a pedo. The fact that he mentioned the age of twelve would bother me in that comment, not the ridiculous bed humping over a daddy/daughter fantasy.

I digress. This is disturbing. I don't have any particular attachment, desire, or approval/disapproval of fantastical incest stories, but your admirer is about as close as he can get to crossing the line without actually crossing it. I wrote a story a couple years back about cousins who fell in love and were married. I was chided by readers who, though they liked the story, said it wasn't incestuous enough, since marriage of first cousins is legal in many states. Silly me.

I have never had anybody complain about that, even though I have written first person stories about me and nieces by marriage and two about a man and his stepdaughter. None of those would be true incest. I have also written about brother-sister, father-daughter and mother-son, which are true incest, but this was the first time I got feedback like that.

In the first of the Little Mandy series, she was role-playing an eight year old, but since then she has been strictly an adult. They won't allow me to do any more like the first one.

As for masturbating in bed: I have no problem believing that. Based on feedback, I believe a lot of people masturbate while reading my stories. If they don't it means I am doing something wrong.

ETA: It didn't disturb me that much. I still write incest stories, including more with this father and daughter.

I don't get much feedback from men, but the few I have received are about as creepy as this.

I wouldn't feel responsible for something a person did because of a story I wrote, and I would understand that it wasn't my fault, but if I wrote a story like that and learned it was the breaking point that pushed some guy to molest his daughter I would feel horrible. It's going to be a tough year for Cupid and Raphael's cherubs. Governments have spent a lot of time trying to define the difference between art and pornography for centuries. Lumping it all together seems like a simple solution, but I don't think it will accomplish anything.

In the end, we all fall back on the "I know it when I see it" standard. No one has yet been able to put that in a statute.
